Re LSU and South Carolina. The difference in the game was before halftime South Carolina lost both its starting quarterback, and it’s number one defensive tackle. We also later lost our best receiver. LSU took advantage of these player losses in the second half. As a lifelong gamecock fan our problem has always been that the talent-drop off from 1st to 2nd string is huge. No bench.
I'm NOT a Texas guy (Iowa fan) but I said before the season, after week 1 and now after week 2.. TEXAS has it all. Depth, scheme, talent, coaching and confidence. TEXAS vs Georgia in the title game.
I’m still stunned by the fact that my USC Trojans were almost a double digit underdog against Michigan on the road. Now they’re favored by almost a touchdown. That’s wild
Georgia hasn’t played a top 10 team on the road in full capacity since 2018 Kentucky. They play 3 top 5 teams on the road this year, plus Tennessee at home. For many to just assume Georgia is the best is irresponsible journalism and the weakness of the SEC Least must be further discussed
Ole Miss won’t be top 5 when they play each other and Texas as long as they don’t lose to Oklahoma should be but no guarantees for this. not Georgia’s fault the teams they play on the road isn’t in the top 5 🤷♂️
@Berley_1234 must be a reason we have won 42 regular season games in a row AND the only 2 loses we have had in 4 years were to Bama in the SEC game & the Natty
"rough day for the big 10" aka Ohio state, Penn State, and USC all had byes so Michigan got to have the spotlight for a day and they looked terrible. Only bright spot was Oregon finally getting their act together
THIS is why preseason polls matter! South Carolina has played better ON THE FIELD so far than multiple teams ahead of them that are benefitting from PROJECTIONS! What about all those 3 spots Florida State took up? Preseason pollsters are decreasing the vertical movement viability of smaller schools having a playoff chance due to premier schools getting the “benefit of the doubt.” I bet an accountant somewhere could lace a financial number figure of potential revenue loss due to their starting preseason poll spot, where teams above them turned out to be garbage but got better spots based on polls. So what am i saying? NO POLLS UNTIL WEEK 1 GAMES END. It will encourage better games earlier in the season, which is non-conference play anyways! What better time & opportunity for teams to PROVE ON THE FIELD what their Week 1,2,3 rankings should be before the all important conference games!! Greg i hope you read this man, i think it will work for real.
I did think ND would score over 50. That is who they are under Marcus Freeman. They simply have no excuse for last week. They are factually too talented and good for this and should have dominated NIU. But having ridiculous losses is also who they are under Marcus Freeman
Im not betting on the Irish the rest of the season. One week they might beat Texas, the next week they might lose to a D2 school smh. I have no idea what to make of that team
UGA looked like a non top 25 team. But they are SEC, so they get a pass. Right? If it was another team from any other conference this guy wouldn’t make any excuses for them. Right!
It's incredible isn't it? LOL can you imagine if Ohio state had that performance against minnesota? Which is the exact equivalent, they would be dropped at least three or four spots guaranteed, it's utterly offensive how these corporate hacks continue to push these narratives about oh well it's just a tough SEC Road win blah blah blah😂😂
Except Georgia has done that 3 or 4 years in a row now and still been excellent at the end of the year. Per your example: Ohio State and Michigan played close games against nobodies last year and dropped to 3 or 4 at worst. The bias is still there outside the SEC.
This years Florida State team is not last years. I'm not a FSU fan, but even after how bad they've been I still think they should have got a shot at Washington in the Sugar Bowl.
Lmao at this dude UGA beat KY by 1 point and he thinks UGA is the number 1 team gloats about big ten teams only if there getting beat by a SEC team Wisconsin sucks bro 😎 I’m not giving bama any flowers for that victory lol 😂 the so called pro analyst have no problem with dropping everybody else but SEC why play the game then
Please cry some more. Georgia, like it or not, gets the benefit of the doubt for now because of their recent body of work/history. Ohio State would get the same benefit. When Georgia loses, that will change. Georgia hasn’t lost a regular season game since the 2020 season - like it or not, that fact carries weight.
Love your show, but I was disappointed in your take on officiating in college football. I certainly respect the "take responsibility" approach you learned from Coach Saban, but that is not a proper answer. Nick Saban is the GOAT, and his teams were almost always talented enough and coached well enough to overcome a bad call from officials. That is not true for most college coaches. Let's say you are Coach "Bill Smith" from Somewhere College, and your team is playing a game with big ramifications for your players and possibly for your own career. Your team is evenly matched with your opponent and the game is a nail biter, but you lose the game on a bad call. You don't have the luxury of being Nick Saban. My point is that bad officiating matters and your take is that whining about officiating is a bad look. Why can't both things be true? You took a shot on your Monday Show at unnamed analysts on "other shows" who criticized officiating in week 3 games. Who were you talking about? Josh Pate took a major stand on the problem. Was your comment aimed at him? He brought the receipts for his comments, so maybe you meant someone else, but by being so vague, you slandered every other analyst who brought it up. That's unfair. You showed two clips which you claimed were the subject of criticism and then tried to prove such claims were unfair. Josh Pate did not cite the horse collar call, but he did cite the unnecessary roughness against South Carolina that took away a pick six and may well have changed the outcome of the game. You said it was the correct call, but I could not understand your reasoning. The video was not centered on the actual hit, but it appeared that the hit was not on the rear side of the LSU QB. If he had been hit at his backside, why did he wind up on his back when he went to the ground? That suggests that he was hit from his front. You should care about the quality of officiating, and I fail to understand why you don't. Josh Pate had the courage to address it while you hid behind Nick Saban's skirts. Bad look.
Well, they got the rest of the SEC coming up. Shall we not wait and review one"s Whole Body of Work? Before you cast your Pearls before Swine, might be better to wait and see if your "Precious" is worth casting in the First Place. An Honest Obzervation.
Don’t think you noticed the accuracy of Milroe’s long passes .
He was really on target . And it was on multiple passes.
Bama is still Bama RTR
Manning was playing against a Junior College equivalent. We'll see how good he is when he plays against a big boy team.

How about ya play football better and there isn't a ref in America that can sway a game
All that shows is lack of accountability on effort and execution.

It was a shock for Bama fans to see Justice Haynes carried the ball twice . This great running back is wasted there.
He will get used more as thw season goes on
gotta keep the main weapon healthy

wanna see a comfortable qb watch MIAMI
Is Manning better than Ewers?
I think it depends on the situation they both are great. They both have championship pedigree it's about to be 4+ years of Texas domination
dosent matter
No.
Yep more athletic
better athlete and runner
Kentucky won first down totally owned first down

Based on that performance, Georgia is not top 1 or 2. Tennessee would hang 40 on us playing the way we did
20 carries a game for a QB this guy don’t know what he’s talkin bout
Greg McElroy is the best college football voice in the business right now
