No need to apologise for the outside noise. We can still hear you clearly. Funnily enough though before I realised i paused the video to see if it was here 😂
Doing smaller squares for your sweet shop is such a great idea. I started the sweet shop and have probably done a dozen squares but I put it on hold because it is pretty but doesn’t really fit my style. I think I would like the small squares better. I can’t wait to see yours as it progresses. Thanks for sharing!
If you’re unsure about the Sari cardigan, the April cardigan by Petiteknit is a great cardigan - I’ve made two because I love the shoulders so much! Lene Holme Samsøe has a similar pattern - Mouline - that I’m making this autumn in a soft cotton/wool blend. Both have a 21 sts gauge and are perfect for your yarns. 😊 Btw I’ve made the Kuutar cami and the lace doesn’t bither me at all. I thiught the pattern was great fun to knit and am planning a second one. Be aware of the i-cord aston under the arms - just couldn’t get it to look good so I used the crochet method to do a provisional caston for the underarm sts. Went back afterwards and joined the i-cords under the arms. Happy knitting! 😃
The April cardigan is actually on my list for later this year! I’ve already ordered the yarn but it won’t arrive for a while. Thanks for the reassurance on the Kuutar top - I tried it on and right now it looks fine, it definitely toeing the line of being too revealing, and I’m hyper aware of the fact that it might sag with time!
Don’t worry about the children at play, it is a wonderful noise. Being older and having my children grown and away from home and also my grand children grown and becoming adults, one misses the joy of children, it is a very pleasant sound.
Just a thought for your Poppy Tee: perhaps you could finish the sleeves, then weigh both yarns and decide on the width of the stripes then? Thank you for your videos 🙏
You should have a look at Lily Kate France on Ravelry. She has a pattern called the Movement Tee and Movement sweater both with a contrast colour at neck edge and sleeve edge. Love your podcast and choice of projects. Have you looked in the OK for KFO colour you wanted? I’m coming to Dublin in a few weeks and could bring it over.
I love the movement tee actually! It’s on my wish list 😁 That’s so kind of you but I actually have family visiting the UK soon so I’m going to see if I really need the colour and if I do I’ll ask them to get it when they’re there. Thank you though! ❤️
hi! I love your podcast so much thanks for showing us your recent makes. For my videos I've found a way to mitigate background noise in the capcut app. I use voice isolation and volume normalization (which are both part of the free version I think) - hope that helps! filming can be so tricky haha
Ohh I didn’t realise they were part of the free version! I use DaVinci Resolve for editing and it has a noise isolation feature but it didn’t make too much of a difference for me. I think the kids are just over the threshold for what it can silence 😅
Regarding the Poppy Tee contrast stripe bind-off - check out the Stripe Hype Sweater by Veronica Lindbergh if you need an example. It works well!! I think it’d be a great way for your tee to feel more wearable to you (though I personally love a low-contrast moment).
@@camderden2879 hi! It’s a playground and yes it is quite noisy 😅 I didn’t realise at the time how well my camera was picking up the noise, but I learned from it and haven’t had the issue in any of my episodes since 😊
Hi! Yeah I am sorry about that, and I put a little apology in the video during editing because I didn’t realise how well my camera would pick it up. Rest assured I am aware of it and will make sure it’s quiet next time I film!
@@Stitchesinstem I will come back. I didn't want to go away and not say why. I like your podcast keep them up. Perhaps you didn't know how loud the birds were. 🧶✌️😀

I was doing the same when I was editing! Pausing to see if the kids were still out there when I was editing at 11pm 😂

Thank you! I’m definitely excited for it but I know it will be more work than if I did bigger squares 😂
Really loved to tune in! :) the color for the Kuutar top is amaziiing, I loove those dark browns!
Thank you so much! ❤️ I’m glad you enjoyed it ☺️

Thank you for the reassurance, that’s lovely to hear!
Love all your knits ! I like the idea of adding a navy stripe at the collar of the Poppy tee, maybe one on the sleeves would work too ?
That’s a good idea! I’ll do the collar first and see if I like it 😊
amazing episode, I enjoyed watching!
Thank you!

That would have been the smart thing to do 😂 I’ve already started working on the body stripes so it’s just fingers crossed for now 😅

Oh you’re right actually! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! Thank you ☺️
"Sudden instinct to heard yarn"...very witty
😅
Donegal does have the best beaches in Ireland!
Why not treat yourself to another 9inch circular and then you can knit in tandem and enjoy ❤
That’s definitely the plan! Just wanted to make sure I actually liked it before I bought 2
Do you live near a school? If so, you may want to consider filming at a different time. The background noise is very distracting. Just a suggestion.

The screaming in the background is beyond annoying. Can't watch sorry. 😢
