I was super nervous too! I started reading the book in short chunks and followed it up with reading something totally different. But by the end I was hooked and couldn’t put it down.

I love the idea of a reading journal but my perfectionalism makes it so hard 😩 I think for me, I would probably re-use my journal as just a daily brain dump journal lol.
You definitely blew away your goals! I definitely agree -- audio makes it SO easy to breeze through all the books. I absolutely love your reading journal, it looks so good!! The The Murderbot Diaries is supposed to be pretty good, especially as audiobooks so I recommend it for sci-fi. I think I'll be listening to it in the coming months 🥰
for me, I use most of my tracking with a google sheets. And I'm doing really good with my goal! I'm aiming for 52 books this year and I'm already at 46 🥰I don't think I'll ever increase this number because I feel like reading should be fun for me so I don't try to "achieve" by rushing through books

I totally get the perfectionist thing! It is probably the reason I have not kept up with it each month. I’m hoping that if I keep going some of that will fade.
The Murderbot Diaries looks so interesting. I like that they are novellas. I think that might be a good starting point for someone new to science fiction like me. Thank you for the recommendation!

Sounds like you're making really good progress on your goals! Mine are going pretty good, except for restricting my book buying and shrinking my physical TBR 😅
I don't know your reading tastes well enough yet to recommend specific books, so I'll just list several sci-fi that I really enjoyed and you can look them up to see if they pique your interest. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy if you enjoy British humor, Fahrenheit 451 if you want a classic sci-fi that has a really easy reading style (from what I remember), The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher if you want a futuristic steampunk feel, Ready Player One if you want a dump of '80s nostalgia, Dark Matter if you want your mind messed with, and The City of Ember if you want a futuristic middle grade.
