That flower arranging gadget is genius!! I've decluttered my china cabinet thoroughly, so nothing to go from it today. However, down the road I 'm going to declutrer part of my actual china so I only have eight place settings. I've bought the all access pass again this year; I like watching only one session a day. Happy Friday! 🎉
Hi Diane! I did not know what the object was. I am working in the dining room hutch. I haven't been in this one in a few years so I believe I will find lots of goodies to get rid of. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! ❤
I know how hard it is for you at this time losing your sweet Mama-It never gets easy a piece of you is gone but I sure do appreciate your encouragement and smiling face it’s a pleasure to watch your videos and listen to your beautiful encouragement- all God’s love and blessings ❤
Yes, Steph was one of my favorite TH-camrs! Wonder why she suddenly stopped doing videos or the podcasts with Jill? I really miss her, and seeing her beautiful home!
I appreciate your focus on little bits of continual progress Diane! It's encouraging to watch and listen to you do this over and over again throughout your home without a big before/after reveal
I went into my studio and really cleared and tidied the little side room. It is now much safer and I can get in without worrying that I might trip over something. My self care has been 10 minutes strength exercise and this afternoon I went for a walk with my dog. I was tired so I sat on a bench in the churchyard for a few minutes before I came home. I now have a pot of tea and the dog is asleep. It’s quite cold here but my Danish friend said he’s too hot in Koege. Have a lovely weekend ❤
I'm decluttering my studio as you speak! Thank you for the continued support in my efforts to claw some peace and harmony back in my otherwise upturned life. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Every day I am finding at least one item to declutter. I have been on this journey for a while and thought I was finished, but I keep finding more things that can go. Have a wonderful weekend!🦋🦋🦋
Condolences on the loss of your lovely mom. I’ve loved seeing your visits with her over the years. These downsizing videos are a huge inspiration. I like seeing how you talk through each decision. I’m working on kitchen and dining room right now and appreciate your virtual help. Thank you.
I have serving items that haven't been used in years because I'm in a different season of life. Time for them to move on to someone who will use them. Don't save anything for a special day, waking up you are having a special day
Love tagging along on your journey. Hubby and I downsized a few years ago. Each year we redefine what items are essential for us to keep and donate everything we no longer use. Having less inventory to manage has freed me to spend more time reading and learning about new things. Woohoo 🎉
Just want to join in the thank you's today Diane. I so appreciate your method of approaching minimalism without being draconian. We too just lost a parent, had to go thru her inventory, and are downsizing ourselves in anticipation of leaving a family sized home for smaller, retirement digs. So many decluttering/minimalism videos are aimed for people in a different season of life, both physically and emotionally. Your videos consistently speak to me. I'm so grateful for your time and efforts. Best wishes, Cynthia in very, very hot Florida.❤
Diane it was 4.50 on Friday I sat down to watch your video but immediately felt motivated by you to do a ten minute declutter of the hall cupboard you are so motivating thank you
Good for you letting go of things that aren't serving you and keeping those that are! I loved your reminder about each person needing to declutter for themselves, and not telling others what they need to get rid of.
I fell off the waggon over the summer with all the children home! Ive really missed your help and encouragment each week so its great to have you back again ❤️ 🎉
As always, I love your videos. I caught myself telling a friend about “my friend in Denmark…”. Lol! But you are like a friend who comes into my home and gives me lots of encouragement! I have already watched your class about the top of the hour method. It is fabulous and I am implementing it already with great success. And I just want to say that I am proud of you Diane. You have so much going on in your life and the grief with the loss of your mum (so very sorry for your loss), but you still show up for us and put your heart into helping us. Your smile brightens my day. Love from the States! ❤
Love your wedding china. ❤😊 and both the blue and peach chargers. I’m decluttering with you but I’m quite a china collector so it’s really a moment of truth! 😂😂
Very mindful that you are so generous to share your mom and grief with us. Thank you for your companionship while I tackle my parents remaining boxes of paper clutter from the attic, stuff they squirreled away upstairs for years. It's been wave after wave. Your things were so much prettier to look at. Always loved your silver coffee pot.❤ Thank you❤
Good afternoon, Diane 👋 You're doing an awesome job at decluttering for your move. Today, I decluttered my vanity in the bathroom. I wasn't expecting to declutter anything. But I found 12 items to decluttered!! Yay for me!!! Thanks for all your uplift, cheers, and smiles as we all work together! Later, from Ky 😊
Hello Diane! It's so wonderful to start a day with your cheerful smiling face ! My sympathy to you in this difficult time and I'm cheering you on. Rah! Rah! Rah!
Decluttering is so satisfying, especially the first few go arounds. It starts to get tricky when all you’re left with is: things you really like the look of (or quality of) even if you have duplicate items that serve the same function, and things you have an emotional attachment to.
I find it increasingly do-able to donate items from my fantasy self, and have become so much more discerning when seeking anything for my true self and real life. I only want things and people around me that I love. Thank you, Diane, for everything you do!
The crystal stem holder thing you brought back from your mom's, we call a flower frog here in the states. I have a small collection of crystal, Glass, And metal ones.
You were my little break from cleaning windows. Not too much to declutter here but I make a habit to always have an eye out for things we no longer use, and a box ready to collect them. My kids know too where to put their decluttered items, makes it easy to keep tidy and when the box is full, out to my car it goes and dropped off at the donation center the next trip to town. Working on the habit of not bringing more items back in - that’s the real ticket!
I would keep the white 'tray' style piece for small potted plants so that when you water them no water spills on to a wood surface or window ledge. Always interesting, I do love those blue charger plates. :-)
My planned gardening afternoon has been rained off so you’ve inspired me to have a little declutter session. I’m off upstairs to try on some clothes that I haven’t worn this summer and I’m pretty sure there will be quite a few going.
Dear Diane - Nor-Cal heatwave @ 100+*F all week. 🥵 🌞! I’m really hoping your TH-cam community can boost you to 1K subscribers for your upcoming send off/house warming! Thanks always for your decluttering/cleaning/organizing motivation and rationale. ❤🎉 Rah! Rah! Rah! 🎉❤
Oh, I have a whole collection of my grandmother's crystal bowls. Love using them for fruits and salads. They remind me of the precious moments with my granny cooking something together and chatting about everything. Thanks for reminding me to use those beautiful items I own more often. ❤
Just wanted to thank you for your help Ms. Diane…I’m not brand new to Flylady but it’s been a while. I’ve been going through your old babysteps videos and have been enjoying my hygge home! Just hosted a big football party last night and it was a breeze! The house was already in order and I just went 15 minutes at a time to prep all my food and even freshen up the porch for fall. Thanks again for your coaching!
Such a pleasure to hear your voice and hear your decisions for decluttering. As usual and with glee, your decluttering decisions are all going to swaps party, family and friends. I love your no waste, friend of the planet mindset. I don’t know how you do it. But you did that so well. 11 years later I still have not gone through all of my mum’s boxes and things. The boxes and things I have gone through have been so useful though.
Thank you so much for your decluttering videos, Diane. Thanks to your example, this week I have decluttered the coffee cupboard, the front coat closet, part of a china cabinet, the weeds in the back garden bed, my scarves, and a small chest in the front hall. All that came out of the coat closet was one raincoat and a broken hanger, but just going through things and straightening up is also good. You are so inspiring and are a brilliant example of keeping on even when having sadness. Have a great weekend!
I’ve been decluttering various things in the last couple of weeks, inspired by your regular videos. Thinking about what I’d want to take with me if we were moving (even though we’re not) has been an eye-opener! School supplies/stationery the kids have moved on from, summer clothes and outerwear that went unworn this year, similarly shoes/sandals , a box of costume jewellery and occasion dresses I’ve been holding onto for who knows why! I’ve even been eyeing up my record collection! 🤔Not quite there yet though. 😁It can’t be easy to post so regularly right now so it’s much appreciated, Diane. Thank you! 🌼🌼🌼
September seems like the start of the New Year as opposed to January to me. The mornings are a little cooler, the leaves are slowly turning and it's getting darker earlier in the evenings as well as the mornings. It is my favourite month, the air feels so fresh. I feel more invigorated and energized as opposed to the summer when it's hot and don't have the same get up and go. I had been postponing decluttering my wine glasses as I thought it would take too long and didn't know what to keep. So I took all of them out , washed them and decluttered quite a few. My dh said I still kept too many and he is probably right but maybe the next time I will be ready to declutter some more. However, there were two wine glasses there from his high school reunion (which wasn't yesterday) and I suggested we let them go but he wouldn't hear of that, I guess it is easier to tell someone else what to let go of, lol. Pink and blue really suit you, perfect colours for you.
I’m not moving, but am downsizing so that putting away kitchen items is much easier. I don’t want to dig for things! Thank you for sharing this with us even though you are grieving. I’m so glad your childhood home will stay in the family!
I haven't been decluttering along with you but I did have a couple of marathon sessions (once I started it was hard to stop😂) and, except for a bit of touch up painting tomorrow, my kitchen is thoroughly reset. So satisfying to let things go, clean and refresh that space!
Everyday I have been going out to our garage and finding at least 5 things to throw or recycle. We have so much junk that we have accumulated and we've forgotten we even have most of it. It won't be missed.
Looking forward to your sessions at the Get Organized Summit next week! Thanks for your continued decluttering motivation. I am working through my craft room.
Great video once again Diane. It's truly helpful when you're talking it out as you decide to keep, donate or probation. I find myself doing this now and it's easier and faster. 2 pants and 2 purses into the donation box which will delivered today. Thank again Diane have a wonderful weekend.
Might be nice to keep your wedding China to share between your son and daughter... If they want it? You are doing great Diane. We've been talking about following your lead so we don't have to"flit" clutter when we move! We are both going to lose weight too so as the house becomes lighter and brighter so will we! Love that pink on you. Love Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
Woo who, dear Diane, how exited you are, to say good bye to things (and find a good home for them)! I’m astonished, that you’re still finding things… Nothing to declutter for me… in a holiday house. But here I see, how little is necessary to enjoy life! I guessed the little thingy, because…I once had one, too! No idea, where it is at the moment. Hiding, because it feared to be decluttered in one of my declutter waves?🌊 Love, Monika❣
Will declutter some of the excess to our needs dinnerware too ( there are some I couldn't decide whether to let go before but I know I haven't used In a long time)
You've inspired me to rearrange and declutter the cupboard where I store crystal bowls, platters, and charger plates. These can be used more, rearranged, and decluttered to allow more room for my grandkids' art supplies as well. I appreciate your ideas and care for us. Cheers!🎉❤
We only have just enough wine glasses. If we break one or need more for visitors, I visit the op shop (charity shop). Sometimes you can find beautiful vintage crystal glasses there. Ditto for plain white dinner plates. I like that they sell individual items, rather than an entire set. Also, I have less guilt about getting rid of op shop purchases once I don’t need them any more.
Thank you for another motivating video. So happy that you kept both sets of charger plates and your beautiful crystal pieces. I really wanted you to keep the red goblets though - so perfect for Christmas and Valentine's Day!
We got some wooden bowels for wedding gifts but we passed them along when we were no longer using them. Thanks for taking us along as you begin to par down in preparation for your move👍🙂
Ms Diane, get Felt or flannel circles or squares and lay between the glass/breakable bowls and platters, it helps prevent chips and cracks 🥰 Lemons in the bright blue bowl would be very pretty👍🏻
Nicely done! I agree, you do you! I'm not a minimalist but I do declutter each week. I tend to have a lot of dishes - because I love to cook and present my food! It cooled down here where I live in the states today. So I'm looking forward to the fall weather. It will warm up again but for now we are loving it. I love how different your china looked depending on the charger plates. Have a GREAT weekend!
I just suddenly decided to declutter cloth shopping bags this morning. New ones randomly appear in my life and when I try to use them to return books or whatever hoping they will disappear people unfortunately are good about returning them. Tossing two worn ones, donating six nicer ones.
I started my weekend with donating blood and then will work on catching up at home today. Thanks so much for all your motivation. I think the flower arranger thing is called a flower frog. Not 100% sure but it a neat you kept a few things from your mom
Hi Diane, I appreciate your decluttering videos, they always inspire me to pare down what I do not use or like. I have moved three times in the last twelve years and have learned so much about what is essential to me as far as material things.
You have beautiful platters and bowls. Offering them to a friend who really needs them is very thoughtful. I just went through the small cabinet above the fridge where our seasonal plates and serving dishes reside. I exchanged the summer plates etc for the fall/winter ones. I also found a few empty jars that had made their way into the cabinet over the summer. Those went to recycling. Now we are ready to use our fall/ winter dishes on a daily basis. Next week when hubby goes back to work after a weeks vacation, I will tackle the hard to reach corner under the kitchen counter. I’m sure there are a few items, that I no longer use, hiding in there. Also, hubby finally got the decluttering bug. He has started on his home office/game room. He has one area cleaned and reorganized and has decided that it’s just the first step. He seems to be quite happy with the new clean and organized look and wants to do the rest of the room. Wow, a huge step forward for him. Have a wonderful weekend. LLAP🖖

Thank you, Marla! 🙏🏼😊
It always amazes me how you continue to find things to purge. You are an inspiration to never quit!
"Decluttering for a new life." Love it! Works even if you are not downsizing for a move!
It's helpful to me to see that it's OK to declutter for just a few minutes at a time. Don't have to do it all in a large block of time.
I miss Steph so much! She was the first person that I really related to you. I found you from her!//
Sandy...same here...miss Steph and found Diane through her ❤
Yes, Steph was one of my favorite TH-camrs! Wonder why she suddenly stopped doing videos or the podcasts with Jill? I really miss her, and seeing her beautiful home!
Absolutely miss my Canadian girl too! Steph was so encouraging and real. ❤

started with large objects so now its the little things that dont take up much space. They are so easy to hide away vs let go 😇
Thank you for all of the motivation!

It's like the TARDIS. It's bigger on the inside...I ❤this!!
Oh Diane, so sorry to hear about your beautiful Mum. Thanks for sharing her with us over the years. Prayers and love for you all xx
Almost all food looks good on blue plates, it's so interesting!
Rewatching while working on the christmas decor :) but this time, as promissed, leaving a comment 🎀
Thank you for saying we could use you as our timer. I did and it worked so well working along with you 😊
Diane it was 4.50 on Friday I sat down to watch your video but immediately felt motivated by you to do a ten minute declutter of the hall cupboard you are so motivating thank you
I’ve never seen a frog made like that one for flowers. Love the crystal bowls.
I love the blue charger plates the best
As always, I love your videos. I caught myself telling a friend about “my friend in Denmark…”. Lol! But you are like a friend who comes into my home and gives me lots of encouragement! I have already watched your class about the top of the hour method. It is fabulous and I am implementing it already with great success. And I just want to say that I am proud of you Diane. Love your wedding china. ❤😊 and both the blue and peach chargers. I’m decluttering with you but I’m quite a china collector so it’s really a moment of truth! 😂😂
You are a true inspiration. Thank you for your kindness, sweet personality, and helpful videos.
Good afternoon Diane and everyone 🎉🎉🎉
Very mindful that you are so generous to share your mom and grief with us. Thank you for your companionship while I tackle my parents remaining boxes of paper clutter from the attic, stuff they squirreled away upstairs for years. It's been wave after wave.
Your things were so much prettier to look at. Always loved your silver coffee pot.❤
Thank you❤
“Decluttering for a new life!” Love it! That’s exactly what I’m doing too. Go us! 🎉🎉
Good afternoon, Diane 👋
You're doing an awesome job at decluttering for your move.
Rah! Rah! Rah!
Aww, thank you so much, Amy - I appreciate you taking the time to comment! Have a wonderful day!
Decluttering is so satisfying, especially the first few go arounds. It starts to get tricky when all you’re left with is: things you really like the look of (or quality of) even if you have duplicate items that serve the same function, and things you have an emotional attachment to.
Ur my favorite TH-camr Diane!! 😘
Hello Diane! It's so nice to see your cheerful smiling face! My sympathy to you in this difficult time. I'm cheering you on with a Rah! Rah! Rah!
After your video on Wednesday, I finally managed to throw away a bowl of shells that had been sitting around gathering dust for years. 🐚
That duster from your mom is so awesome!!!❤
I’ve decluttered a lot of mugs today. I now have a big box of items for the charity shop so they will go tomorrow.
My crystal is in use and I am letting go of all plastic in the kitchen. Sparkle ✨
I find it increasingly do-able to donate items from my fantasy self, and have become so much more discerning when seeking anything for my true self and real life. I only want things and people around me that I love. Thank you, Diane, for everything you do!

Thanks for your example in getting rid of some things that are sentimental!
Oh, that's brilliant, Michelle - thank you for letting me know, made my day!

Linen tablecloths...why I thought I needed so many, I don't know. Kept the favourite, donating the rest!!! Happy weekend!
Another brilliant video 😮🎉🎉 have a nice weekend dear ❤

Love your decluttering journey. It is so helpful to me and many others. Have a great weekend 😊.
I recognised the mystery object straight away. A real blast from the past as my mum had one exactly the same.
Well done, Sophia! Now I have to Google what the proper name for it is! Ha ha!
A flower frog?
Decluttering like crazy and using every spare minute to get my projects done so I can focus on next week's conference.
I’m in the middle of a declutter project for my new house. I have way more than I need. I want to get rid of excess stuff. ❤
? Will you be able to bring tweet and sparky with you when you downsize to a smaller home ? 🦜🦜 I always love how beautifully you set a table! ❤
Looking forward to your sessions at the Get Organized Summit next week! Thanks for your continued decluttering motivation. I am working through my craft room.

Cheers!🎉❤
Also have a few Tardes at home 😂 Happy Weekend ❤
The Get-Organized Summit came around so quickly! I'm glad I got my ticket early. I'm looking forward to your session next week.
Thanks for the never ending decluttering encouragement! You're a star❤
I have some nice non slip sheets that go between my charger plates and the dinner plate. They are great and keep the dinner plates nice and secure.
Love the china and chargers!
I decluttered some clothes today and I am temped to dive into the credenza now! I really appreciate the motivation you give us Diane!!
My friend Dawn said she would love the red goblets (and some of the other items), yay!
Happy Friday Diane! You are helping me embrace more and more hygge into my life and home. ❤
We got some wooden bowels for wedding gifts but we passed them along when we were no longer using them. Thanks for taking us along as you begin to par down in preparation for your move👍🙂
Thanks. I have been doing a lot of decluttering and cleaning my house lots going on.
Thanks Diane your really helping me declutter another dresser done my donation box is full again 👍👍👍
Loved watching as always xx
Thanks, Diane! I watched while declutterring our shoe cupboard. I found three pairs to throw away and three pairs to donate!🎉🎉🎉
Ms Diane, get Felt or flannel circles or squares and lay between the glass/breakable bowls and platters, it helps prevent chips and cracks 🥰
Lemons in the bright blue bowl would be very pretty👍🏻
Decluttered 2 boxes of random items, and all my Mary Higgins Clark books this week! Tk u for encouragement ❤
So inspirational. Thanks for showing the chargers !
Loving this series ❤❤❤
Thanks, Diane!
LLAP🖖
Yay, well done!
