Make Your B-series (or D-series!) Shifter Feel AMAZING for only $20 with Speedfactory Detent Springs

Sometimes the cheapest upgrades can make such a difference. In todays video I show you the extremely easy installation procedure for Speed Factory's transmission detent spring upgrade.
Additionally, I show you the differences from before and after! Often times the transmission detent spring is overlooked during the process of upgrading your transmission, leaving you with stock, soft springs that have seen countless shifts within their lifetime. This upgrade revives an old transmission in a way you wouldn't think possible, for only $20!

Absolutely for the money the most cost effective upgrade you can do!
Only downfall is on H series transmission you have to remove the transmission mount to access one of the springs, but gave me excuse to upgrade my mount while it was out.

These springs just do gear engagement, its a seperate spring that controls the side to side movements

You may lose some fluid. Since you’re already down there, might as well pop the drain plug and do a trans oil service!

Does it matter what year d series you have , on the website it says 96-00 but i have 91 d series , will i just not use all 3 springs?

I want to say it doesn’t matter, but it’s been a while since I tore apart a D series. You would probably want to consult Speed Factory directly
