I'm still curious why they can't rerelease that game. Chaotix was almost going to be in Sonic Gems Collection (2005) even had an art page for it, and hasn't been rereleased sense, except on the now defunct GameTap service.

This is why I waited til a "physical" version of this game came out to buy it, cus I knew they would pull some shit like this, even though the plus part of the game is just a code in the box anyway so it's not really physical, at least I didn't get scammed $15

Amy's advance moveset is odd and it's harder to attack enemies, she's basically hardmode in that game, I like how different it is. It makes you take a different approach throughout the game and the High jump and hammer attack can be used in creative ways.
I thought she was actually pretty easy to use in that personally, and I think she actually makes it easier. She even makes most of the bosses easier. Her hammer even allows you to bounce on springs higher then other characters, and her high jump, and spin attack come in handy.

Imma be real I would have bought it if they gave Amy a double jump like why didn’t they do it? It would make so much sense and then she can still have the crappy drop dash to use her hammer
I dunno I liked Amy's moveset in "Sonic Advance."
I'd be a bit bummed if I payed the extra $15 too, glad I didn't get this game yet, because it looked so incomplete I figured I'd wait until they updated it.
Superstars hopefully can give Amy a canon super form unless they lock it to just sonic but I don't see them locking to just sonic this time
They did in Sonic Heroes, which would of been the perfect opportunity to bring back Super Tails and Hyper Knuckles. So don't get too hopefull.
They probably won't even had super forms in Sonic Superstars as the Chaos Emeralds will just give them different ability which makes up for them not having super form anyways as the ability are likely overpower.
The original Sonic Origins advertised “new characters.” Plural. After a $10 upcharge, we now get one actually new character. Still not characters plural. And still and upcharge.
a tad bit mad that now they decide to bundle all the DLC together but thats forcing everyone that already paid full price for it originally with the shoddy dlc to pump out 10 bucks more for honestly 5 bucks of actual value, knuckles should of been in CD to begin with as advertised... amy is a nice feature but honestly after already beating and completing all 4 games with no real added worthwile content the game gear games are meh... and still sad to not see the rest of the genesis sonic games... they couldnt put in 3d blast or spinball?? this was a cheap cash grab and lets be honest most of us said f it and paid for it even tho it was a rip off
And of course when you buy the game from a store, the disc you're buying isn't actually Origins Plus but just Origins with DLC code for the additional content. Why? After all, when you bought Mania Plus you got what it says on this disc. It seems a lot like false advertising.
Yeah, they should have the DLC on it too... It's really hurting physical media.
I'm buying this just for Sonic CD. I'm glad I skipped out on vanilla origins and I didn't get scammed, but I still feel bad for those that didn't wait
In fairness, it's probably your own fault for paying full price for a bare-bones collection in the first place.

My problem is that the game got dropped down to 30 so people who bought og origins were fucked. And in order to buy plus i had to rebuy the digital deluxe content

Yeah, it's really bad. Blurry visuals, no lives system for widescreen, subpar emulation for Game Gear, muffled music for Sonic 3 and Knuckles (1up music sounds abysmal).... and loooooots of bugs. The new Blue Spheres mode and routes for Knuckles in CD are pretty cool, though. I'll be waiting for the hacking community to work their magic!

New character with original moveset, new missions and menus, new routes exclusive to Knuckles in Sonic CD and 12 ported Classic games from the Game Gear for 10€ is not a scam...
Say Amy plus the menus and CD's new routes cost 3€, it's like 0.58€ per Game Gear game. If these games are your cup of tea this expansion is definitely worth it.

Don't get confused here - these version were available through emulation for over 15 years. And I've given Sega so much Sonic money over the years, that I have no problem pirating these mediocre Game Gear things (which I've also paid real money for their original releases).
Amy Rose in Sonic is like, a thing that was achieved, and achieved quite better, through ROM hacks and fan games, that are available for free.
If this thing here looks legit to you, than unfortunately tou have no idea what "value for money" means.
@@Frustratedartist2 I understand the frustration, but there are people that REFUSE to emulate for one reason or another that have also never really been given a package like this. I'd rather they have the opportunity to play all of these games their way than not at all. Granted, I am not really supporting this didn't come all in one package, but I really expected it after what happened with Mania too. I would say something like "didn't they give us the chart of all of the versions before it dropped" as well, but honestly I can't remember if Plus was there or not.

For one thing, emulating games that are available through very accessible and official channels is illegal, and clearly so is pirating. Many people are against that, me included. You're not entitled to entertainment, this is no different than seeing a mid croissant at a local shop and stealing it because "the croissant company already has a lot of money and the recipe for it is very old aka I am entitled to steal it for free", that is what pirating is, stealing. Secondly, mods are not taken into consideration as a reason to emulate and/or pirate it. If a 3D fan game is better than Forces it doesn't render Forces an experience not worth considering. Official releases hold more gravity than fan mods.
I'm fully aware what's worth my money and I've already explain the math of why this package is worth it for anyone looking to play the Game Gear games, you're being biased, unethical and an extremist about this entire thing.
New missions? I thought they didn't add anything to mission mode, which is a shame, you'd think they'd add some Amy themed missions.

Agreed with everything until you said Mario. The soccer game and the last Paper Mario were worse than Sega scams.
@@Frustratedartist2 More often than not, Mario churns out a product worth its price. Sonic’s last game that felt like that was Mania and that was mostly by Whitehead’s team. Superstars while looking competent is asking a bit much for game that could be essentially 3 hours. And Sega scams ARE worse because that blindsight they’re fully aware of can land them in some *legitimate* legal trouble just like in the past. Physical and digital owners of Origins deluxe are the real victims of this gotcha practice just for a quick buck that’s 15 dollars worth. Regardless of the quality of the content, it’s inexcusable.

If you can do some searching. You can find remakes for the sms games mainly one and two, triple trouble 16 bit, sonic classic heroes (it has one and 2 combined. Amy replaces tails in endings) sonic air for 3 s&k and 3 and knuckles and you can probably find a CD mod or rom that has Japanese music and lyrics and playable tails and knuckles. The basics to help save money if you want to be cheap. (Only go for plus if you haven't gotten it yet)
Combined you get knuckles, tails, mighty and ray In 1 , 2 gets you sonic and tails, Amy and knuckles, mighty and ray, shadow and metal sonic, vector and espio. Heroes gives you team chaotix too, triple trouble gives you sonic and tails together and knuckles alone plus fang the sniper and metal sonic alone.
I got scammed for thr first one, after debating so long in buying it i got the 45 version. I definitely will not buy the expansion. For 10 bucks nah. If it's 50 percent off then maybe but still probably won't. Only way I'd If they fix the sonic 3 music. No more money for them
I have no reason to get origins, even with plus. I have Sega Ages: Sonic 1 & 2, And im having a blast with them thanks to the wide screen support, nice save features and playing as knuckles. Again, I'm not getting origins just to play Sonic CD, Sonic 3 & knuckles, and a handful of The game gear games, because I've seen video evidence that the problems in the previous version have not been fixed at all, AND you won't even get the better versions of The game gears. So yeah, this is a hard pass. I will only care for Amy when I get Sonic Superstars.
