Hi My Friend, Not to sound harsh with you but , I'm a sound engineer,, have been installing very high end equipment for many many years, a speaker kheld in your hands without any means of dispersion of air from back of speaker is absolutely not going to reproduce the sound waves as it was engineered to produce proper sound, I never used my Crown DC 300 acustic sound anializer to even try to eq any speaker regardless of price or branding on the driver itself, if you would like advice on a proper way to do sound comparison I will be glad to advise you the proper way to do so,, best wishes to you Sir
Skar TX 6x8 sound incredible and they handle the power,Currently have 4 of them on Audio legion 250.4 and 400 x 4 at 2 ohm. They get loud and clear no distortion.
I've got some Pioneer ts-g1644r im using for my rear highs and they sound amazing! Really clean and crisp highs even at loud volumes. Powered by 14 watts hahaha
That is not pioneer TS-1680F it is weaker TS-600M , ts-1680f has bigger magnet then that ts600m model and its 80wat rms and ts600m is 70w rms, so stop comparing wrong things
I can hear the Pioneer highs breaking up a bit. The cheapo one doesn't sound much different. The PRV breaks up too. I wouldn't say that the PRV is any better.
Ive been trying to find a 4 inch speaker that can compare to the ts-g1644r but having a really hard time since the Pioneer sounds so good and gets really loud
Pioneer still makes good speakers, maybe not the best, but they are certainly up there in terms of value. I DO believe Pioneer makes the best head units!

You seem convinced but I remember the five star guys saying some morel speaker sounded like crap on their demo wall bc it wasn't enclosed but once it was in a door sealed up, it sounded amazing. Maybe you could get a little .5 cu ft speaker box to throw them in? Still, I hear your point if it stinks outside of a box it will stink inside as you have been doing these test for awhile and have alot of xp. Peace bro.
I have of these in my 2020 Sorento. I'm using factory radio on a amp. They sound really good at low and medium volumes but the highs distorted at higher volumes with the amp gains at 3/4 and 1/2 gain I almost want to change them out now 😡
I like my JBL GX Series speakers. Kickers are decent too. I heard all of them at Best Buy. JBL wins. Kicker came in second. Pioneer 3rd. Kicker was close to JBL surprisingly.
Alpine type x is the best sounding speaker out there. I know your never probably get a chance to know because they $300-$400 and your buying the speakers out of pocket and I don’t think your pay that much for a speaker. If you want Quality your pay. Imagine how Bose system sound in your car. Alpine type x is that sound x10.

I just replaced a pair of 6" pioneer speakers on my car door. Can't complain about it cause the sound is better than before.
