Honestly? I really think you should upload losing runs more often. This entire run I was thinking "there's no way he's got this, but it's on TH-cam, so it must be a winning run"... I really do enjoy when creators upload a mix of both, it shows the "real" side of roguelikes. Plus it keeps us from having that expectation of "it'll definitely be a success, because it's on TH-cam" or something similar... Makes every single video more exciting if we don't have any preconceptions about how it'll go!
The truth is I don't have a ton of losing runs (not bragging I swear), at least like this. It's tough to create a suitable challenge that doesn't guarantee a win but also doesn't get me killed before leaving Elysium. I don't really steer away from showing losses here on YT, more like I make sure whatever is shown is interesting and if I lost quite early, chances are something was very off throughout the run that turned it into a slog.
But I appreciate the support and will keep it in mind nonetheless!

I really think pressure points would be a fun one to run with, or tidal dash but I guess you’d see diminishing returns after not too long

Oohh here's a fun challenge with this mod, but it'll require two boons - the aphro call + the aphro-zues duo. Each pom increases charm effects by one second, so the entire run revolves around other enemies fighting for you
Trying to plan builds past 25H already feels like doing calculus sometimes so a quiz game wouldn't be too far off lol. Imagine something like "If you have rare Durnken Strike 3 and epic Heartbreak Flourish 2 with Privileged Status and Aspect of Eris at the endshop in Tartarus, which of the following is the optimal buy order?"
Scaling is actually good in these types of hangovers or pressure point boons. Because one increase in hangover actually means an increase of 5 damage in every tick if you stack it completely on an enemy. It is actually very powerful.

people in chat were saying it but it’s definitely important to be thoughtful of the fact that a huge majority of these “slang” words are words that have been used by black people in the us for many many years (often with hugely more nuance in their use) and only get burnt out and commodified when white people start using them with little context or respect (often with different, less complex meanings). definitely a more complicated conversation than a youtube comment but i thought it was worth noting because it’s easy to not think about.

THANK YOU!! what many people fail to realize (if they're even aware to begin with) is that aave isn't just "haha weird words", but a dialect with rich history and specific syntax. it bothers me so much seeing things that are just part of how my family talks continuously get butchered because people think it sounds funny or whatever. it's far more than a punchline or a catchphrase, but people see the "hot new trend" (read: thing people have been saying for decades) and parrot it without any idea of what theyre actually saying (which can get to very uncomfortable or even dangerous places without the proper context). language shifts and evolves and mixes between communities and that's interesting to see and study, but i wish more people would like... learn more about the words they use when they're unfamiliar to them

Not counting situations were two hammers would be unable to be attained together, would it be possible to load a weapon down with every single hammer?
I'm imagining an Eris Rail with Piercing Fire, Rocket Bomb, Cluster Bomb, Targeting System, and Ricochet Fire. I know a lot of hammers cancel out other hammer options, but still, could create some insane results.

To the topic of racing in-game, the idea you described sounds the daily runs in Binding of Isasc
"you can't say you beat 32 heat if you played modded" sooo i just wanted to point out that on unmodded hades you can use god mode to max out at 80% damage reduction and very easily clear 32 heat that way. i wonder what that person thinks about a run like that... Kappa (what a dumb comment to make)

a mod that fixes the seed for the whole run woukd do the race thing. The game changes the seed as things happen, so a seeded run won't be consistent. But if you just mod out the seed manipulation throughougt the run, all RNG rolls throughout the run should always give the same result. same boons offered, same enemies, everything should be the same, except each roll would still follow normal rules, so a boon that blocks our runes later would still have that happen
I used to think this way too but it just wasn't as simple as you say to solve it. Modders tried coming up with different ways to do it for years until SleepSoul finally found a way but it requires us to map out the run ahead of time. Great achievement for Hades and the community.

this needs the pom power mod i made. instead of each pom being less effective they are slightly more effective lol
I would have suggested using Rama for this Dio Pom build. Applying 5 stacks of the special just melts enemies on regular run at level 15-18. Applying 5 stacks of Drunken Flourish at lvl 52 would be insanity.
We tried, it felt mostly worse since no shield block. Gotta keep in mind we're missing a lot of the small damage boosts from other boons and things like Family Favorites/PStatus that add up in the long run.

@@bye1551 theres a mod that allows you to get boons without getting them from gods
so he can just get the duo boons without the normally required core boons Artemis and Ares (duo boons with Dionysus) dont have a condition to work but aphrodite does require the target to be weak for the extra stacks so id understand if he didnt wanna dilute the boon pool

Hey Haelian, one more question I have. What's the best Eris rail build? Zeus attack, Artemis/Aphrodite Special, Artemis/Aphrodite Cast, Poseidon Dash and Zeus Call is what I usually go with, but my only issues with it is if you go with Artemis special, you miss out on the bonus damage from lodging your cast because of the Aphrodite cast which I get for Scinitllating Feast, and you can't get Sea Storm because the dash isn't a requirement. What's the best solution here?
Also, does the rocket hammer allow the rail to backstab?
Sounds like you're going for a lot of things at once. Zeus attack, Jolted, Arty or Aphro special, Splash Dash is fine. Rocket Bomb + Cluster Bomb is far more important than any of those duo boons. Rocket Bomb and most other hammers that explode cannot backstab.

This build but with Zeus or Ares would probably just murder from how powerful the raw spread damage becomes. Or alternatively Zeus special on Chiron to just smite all your enemies. True shot hera would be funny when it deals 4000 or smth from a crit (but it’s not as good since it will only be a 15% crit).
