I purchased a quilt and shams (not Christmas) from Pottery Barn 15 years ago and even after washing yearly in Woolite it still looks new. No loose threads, the color hasn't changed. I also purchased a beautiful winter comforter and shams at Pottery Barn 7 years ago and it still looks new. They do have quality items and if you divide the price by the number of years you use it, you find it's worth it.
Wouldn't recommend their comforters. I got a comforter from them 3 years ago (it was grey/heather, had diagonal diamond stitching) and it began to fall apart after a year. I washed it maybe 3 times.
If you care for items properly they do last for years. In generations past they became heirlooms. So I agree, sometimes spending more for high quality pays off over the years.
I usually don’t buy holiday bedding, but I am really enjoying viewing these beautiful holiday bedding items. The pottery barn quilts are stunning 🥰 My favorite bedding dupes are the Target red & white tree set and the Macy’s Fair Isle set. Thanks for sharing these with us. ❤🤍
Loved the dupes especially the china. I loved the beautiful bedding dupes as well. I started to get that holiday spirit. My daughter takes her own sheets where ever she goes especially hotels no matter how nice they are. I thought she was the only one who did that. She is the one that said the Pledge Of Allegiance when she was little at a big Thanksgiving table and our entire family lost their minds. I will have to watch that movie!

Thanks for great dupe videos. I never buy PB because it's overpriced- but I did buy the Pottery Barn Christmas tree quilt last year. Being raised around true quiltmakers, I would not call it great quality. Mostly printed and possibly hand stitched around shapes. I'm concerned that it is not as durable as a handmade quilt. It did not come with shams like most quilt sets. However, the color choices made by the designers were excellent- really love the colors of the quilt and fabric is soft and lovely to the touch.
Hi! They do advertise the tree quilt as hand made and there was a video that showed some of the artisans, so I’m not sure how to respond to the comment…but I’m glad to hear your opinion. It sounds like you have a lot of knowledge about quilts. I hope your PB tree quilt stands the test of time for you!

I received the Target Red Toile Duvet today. I didn't know it was flannel. Oh my gosh! the Duvet is beautiful and excellent quality. I'll be very warm and festive this winter holiday season. Thank you again for an informative video.
I took full advantage of the Oops by Target and purchased the red Toile Duvet. Thank you for a wonderful video. I wish I could buy all the things, they are so pretty.
I just love Pottery Barn, but my budget doesn't. However, I have managed to treat myself to a few items from there. Last year, I got the stewart plaid comforter and flannel sheet set. LOVE THEM. I already had a white chenille duvet cover and pillow sham set from amazon, so I used those as well and it looked really pretty and was very comfortable to sleep in.

I love this video!! I love seasonal bedding sooo much but I haven’t taken the leap yet. I really tend to prefer the Pottery Barn versions most of the time.😁 I really love the Christmas tree one the most. But, the plaid offers more flexibility and I like you, love plaid especially the red and green. I think that Christmas bedding really seals the deal for Christmas decor in that bit adds splash in often ignored rooms of the house.🎅🎄
I only travel with my own sheets and other bedding. Also cleaning supplies and towels. I don't care who knows it and my husband likes it now too. He took a overnight trip and was freaked out by what they called clean bedding .

Hi Valerie! I would do all blown glass ornaments…those cute themes…but all with a little cherry red somewhere in them…and then cherry red ribbon and a big red bow topper. Also many icicle ornaments in gold throughout to add elegance. How does that sound?

True story -- My neighbor who is from the UK has a visit from a cousin and the cousin's friend. The friend brought towels with her. Neighbor was surprised. Asked her cousin if she had brought some also. "No, I figured you would have some." I think the friend thought that my neighbor, being single, just might not have a lot of towels, not that the quality would be lacking.

PB has napkins in the same deer pattern. I've seen the napkins on eBay on the seller site good as now. Hope this helps you get the look. Napkins currently priced at 18 dollars for a package of 4 new napkins.

I would call the brown-gray plaid a "seasonal" rather than "holiday" item. It picks up the colors of autumn through winter. The "white plaid" is an approximation of what is called the "dress Stewart tartan," while the red version would be called a "royal Stewart tartan."

As a quilter the pottery barn originals are cheaper than I could make it with prices of fabric in France. I loved the china from wayfair but as I have the Spode Xmas might have to get it out🤣🤣
We had a friend stay at our house and apparently he didn’t like our bath towels because he went out and bought some that were much more expensive than we could afford. It truly hurt my mother’s feelings.
@ He was, not at my choice. My father was a Baptist preacher and this man for many years called my dad his father in the ministry. He even conducted my parents’ funerals.
I have several Pottery Barn duvets and love them. Sadly, the two quilts I purchased from PB fell apart within months. The fabric and construction quality didn’t match the price tag. I received an apology from PB, nothing more nothing less. In researching I found my poor experience with their quilts wasn’t unique. Just my perspective and I’d certainly consider the great dupes offered!

Hi Glenda, because that one had a lot of red and yellow with a detailed large scale pattern that wasn’t holiday themed even though it was presented by PB as a holiday item and I preferred the others. I can see how it would blend into decor successfully and I hope it does for you! I’m sure we’ll agree on plenty of items in the future!

Really? I love it! As a quilt maker, I can tell you that those prices are not at all high. To purchase the fabric alone to make one would cost hundreds of dollars.

I would call the brown-gray plaid a "seasonal" rather than "holiday" item. It picks up the colors of autumn through winter. The "white plaid" is an approximation of what is called the "dress Stewart tartan," while the red version would be called a "royal Stewart tartan."

As a quilter the pottery barn originals are cheaper than I could make it with prices of fabric in France. I loved the china from wayfair but as I have the Spode Xmas might have to get it out🤣🤣

We had a friend stay at our house and apparently he didn’t like our bath towels because he went out and bought some that were much more expensive than we could afford. It truly hurt my mother’s feelings.

I have several Pottery Barn duvets and love them. Sadly, the two quilts I purchased from PB fell apart within months. The fabric and construction quality didn’t match the price tag. I received an apology from PB, nothing more nothing less. In researching I found my poor experience with their quilts wasn’t unique. Just my perspective and I’d certainly consider the great dupes offered!

Hi Glenda, because that one had a lot of red and yellow with a detailed large scale pattern that wasn’t holiday themed even though it was presented by PB as a holiday item and I preferred the others. I can see how it would blend into decor successfully and I hope it does for you! I’m sure we’ll agree on plenty of items in the future!
