That to me is the perfect hunt. To see them at that distance and then close it with all the adrenaline pumping. To find a lane, set it up and deliver. Pure magic. I watched that sequence like 5 times. Awesome guys, awesome.

Some of my favorite memories go back to hunting trophy blacktail deer in the early 1980's in the Siskiyou Mountains in southern Oregon. I skipped classes at Southern Oregon College in Ashland to stalk them. Had a Honda 90 trail bike that would take me up high where the big boys lived. At age 78 now ... your video brings back those precious times -- some of my most treasured memories.
I had a 3x9 Leopold scope attached to my 700 mm mag. Best scope I ever owned. Talk about light gathering! Paid under $50 for it new. Hand loaded my rounds with a Lee loader because I couldn't afford store bought shells. The rifle was lethal.
Had an article in True Life Hunters Yearly Edition published around 1970 about hunting big blackies in that area, but no longer have a link to it. Drats. Have a copy of it buried somewhere in the back shed that the mice have now probably made their home/s with.
Anyway - Keep making videos! I'm a huge fan!

I truly enjoyed watching the film (twice). Very envious of Hunter and his adventures. It was a trip and deer of a lifetime for sure. I liked how he shared the experience with his girls.
