There is an error in the diagram animation at 5:09. the top cylinder with an area of 1/2 inches squared will produce 200 pounds of force exerted not 50 pounds. The opposite is true for the bottom cylinder with an area of 2 inches squared.
Hi Derrick, you may want to re-watch. For the top cylinder, if the line pressure has 100 psi (pounds PER inch2), then the piston area (as it's 1/2 it is LESS THAN the PER=1) it has to be a smaller force than 100lb transferred. Ie. Every 1 inch2 of area will multiple the force by 100.
