VIKING HIKING!! MacLehose Trail, Hong Kong | 3 days! (all sections)

- I challenged myself to complete the locally famous MacLehose Trail in 3 days!! It’s a 100km (60mi) hiking trail and by following it I virtually walked across all of Hong Kong!🥾
Furthermore I planed to accomplish it in just three days which may have been a big mistake! I slept at campsites along the way. For that purpose I brought my hammock, a mosquito net and food.
The plan:
🔹Wednesday: start at 06:30am
Stages 1+2+3 / 34.3km (21.31mi)
🔹Thursday: start at 06:30am
Stages 4+5+6+7 / 34.1km (21.19mi)
🔹Friday: start at 06:30am
Stages 7+8+9 / 31.6km (19.64mi)
Accumulated time hiking: 25hrs 24min.
The overall elevation gain was approximately 4,730m (15,518ft) and I had a lot of rain!! But it’s DONE!! 😉

Well done Torbjørn, must have been rewarding. I know the feeling traveling around the globe alone, you miss someone to share it with. I was "only" away for 1 year and 8 month, but although alone, I came home with an address book of more than 2000 persons. This was before everyone wrote emails 😉. Og fedt at se at du stadig kan faa en leverpostej mad... Held og lykke paa de sidste lande....

Congratulations to your best accomplishment!!!...is it possible for you to share about the gears you used...such like tent, sleeping gears, clothes, same with the food you brought with you to the whole duration of the hike. Thanks! again my congratulation!!. WELL DONE!!!

- 3 cans of chili tuna
- 3 cans of leverpostej
- 6 power bars
- 3 chocolate bars
- 10m rope
- 1 compass
- 1 smartphone
- 2 power banks
- 1 long sleeve tshirt
- 1 pair of boxer shorts
- 2 pairs of socks
- 1 fleece
- 1 shell jacket

its a shame that the weather is so bad...you cant see anything from the hills top and it is really discouraging to get up there but not get the view....hope you can try again when the weather is better, you can actually see half of Hong Kong from the top of needle hill and tai mo shan...also the beaches in section 2 are much nicer in the summer, when you look down from the hill the water looks blue green and there will be plenty of people camping in the beaches ☺ and the bay full of nice yacht, i did section 1 and 2 few days ago 😂 nearly died due to the extreme sun and heat

It came out to 125.4 km / 151.261 steps
where do you get the route and other info like nominated time?
