Damn you, TH-cam. I remembered this video from many years ago. I searched every version/combination of what I knew was in this video for over an hour, trying to find it again. No luck. Searchbar is terrible. Finally found it deep deep deep in my Watch Later playlist. To the creator - thanks for this gem. Great video, memorable enough look for it years later.

Lower wing loading than but similar power loading to the RFC/RAE S.E.5a, a dissimilar energy-fighter against the RFC/Sopwith Camel (which was more agile but slower-accelerating), it was doing the job up to the Armistice.
justinspirational There are planes that are faster and more maneuverable then the D.VII. However IMO the D.VII is a good jack of all trades depending on the opponent it can either turn and burn or boom and zoom. If you can pick only one I suggest you take the D.VIIf. Above about 4000 feet that plane has no equals.
multiplayer or AI? From watching the way the airplanes behave i'm guessing multiplayer. AI has this kinda standard downward spiral / then circle tactic.
It's actually AI. I was using a few mods, I think one of them tries to make the AI maintain altitude advantage. The mission was generated in PWCG not the Beta Career.
I’d like to get kills like this, I play ROF and have to put lots of rounds into the EA before I get a kill. And my rounds are hitting them dead on. These seam to take a few hits then fall apart.
i have ROF ....This was done well, but I don't like how lob sided the pilot skills are, you made all the allied mindless drones. Sure some may have been , but either side I fly I like the pilot skill to equal.. it's much more fun to fight an EA that fights back

Don't think an enemy plane would be flying that low over enemy Territory for that long.
one good thing about rof is that it takes a long time to get shot down in comparison to war thunder so its a bit easier to stay alive

I do mention that if I had to pick one I would take the F variant. Although it's nice to have both especially if you're playing career mode.

One shud try an inferior plane once in awhile in order to get ones skills up. Anyone can fly a great plane and win.

Richard Beckhoff If I remember correctly this was a PWCG mission so I had no input on the AI selected for the enemy aircraft.
