Thank you for posting the complete opening. I had my mom tape this very show for me and loved rewinding it to see Paulas dancers. They were always the stars of the performance for me.
I love Paula Abdul, and I'm 12 years old. She's an amazing role model (for singers and dancers) and she's an amazing singer and choreographer! I think more people my age should listen to and watch her performances instead of twerking and singing Miley Cyrus pretty much all the time. Also, my favorite dancer of hers is Dominic Lucero! (He's wearing a suit top and grey pants, black hair and is usually beside Paula.)
i forget which video of janet jacksons' i was watching, but paula was in the video. and you saw her, she even had a line. but everytime they were doing the dancing part.. janet was DEFINITELY, strategically placed, to be right in front of paula and you couldn't see Paula's moves at all lolol. She totally and shamelessly eclipsed her right out of that video.. ^_^
And Paula was still kicking butt at the Billboard Awards in *2019*. This is not to lay shade on today's choreographers. But back in the 1980-1990 choreographers like Paula (and Toni Bassel and Debbie Allen) had something to work with musically. Not only was the music fun but they had funk and off beats. They also had mentors like Gene Kelly and the Nicolas Brothers and practically all singers had to be able to dance. No one note.By the time Mille Vanilli came into the picture things were already starting to falter.
OMG TY TY TY . This is the whole thing. Wow!! I love you and don't even know you LOL. This is great. I've seen the others but this is the WHOLE thing. LOVE it. TY TY for posting.

i saw this when it aired, epic!
goletra Monday, January 22, 1990.
A real dance production. Massive, huge!! 👏👏
When it was just about real talent and simply entertainment...
Perfectly done, I love Paula ❤️
I love Paula Abdul, the way she dances is amazing!, thanks por posting this video.
yes God that lineup!
great performance
this makes today's dancers look so sloppy.
drunken pig that's because, um ...they are. I'm from 1998 and that's old tea to me 😁
...FOR REAL!!...
They are sloppy...
Because their NOT dancers.
Well there’s never been another star choreographer turned pop star since.
It's 2019 and NO ONE has ever topped this. Paula you fucking MACHINE! Pure talent and in heels!
Thank you for posting the complete opening. I had my mom tape this very show for me and loved rewinding it to see Paulas dancers. They were always the stars of the performance for me.
Excelente presentación!!! Me fascinan los bailarines!!!
Best female entertainer of my childhood.she was so entertaining they cared less About her singing voice
She's awesome!
I love how the show opening credit was integrated into her song. making this performance even more special💕💯👌🏿
Lucero Dominic died few years after this show :(
i forget which video of janet jacksons' i was watching, but paula was in the video. and you saw her, she even had a line. but everytime they were doing the dancing part.. janet was DEFINITELY, strategically placed, to be right in front of paula and you couldn't see Paula's moves at all lolol. She totally and shamelessly eclipsed her right out of that video.. ^_^
Gee, remember when the AMAs were actually good, unlike this year's disaster?
MonsterHunterRoon My favorite AMAs were mostly in the '80s and '90s.
MonsterHunterRoon The only highlight of the show was Bruno's opening number.
No one note.By the time Mille Vanilli came into the picture things were already starting to falter.
but what is the name of the rmx? I never found it :(
30 years later still killing it
OMG TY TY TY . This is the whole thing. Wow!! I love you and don't even know you LOL. This is great. I've seen the others but this is the WHOLE thing. LOVE it. TY TY for posting.
So glad you enjoy it as much as I do! Some of the best dancing happens during the credits, always thought it was a shame it was cut out on others posts.
I keep watching and watching LOL
My brother and I we would spend days practices her dancing we would tape on the old VHS recorder play back I think we distroyed the tape playing it so many times. Dancing was everything so my brother and myself.
Incredible!!!!!!!
She didn't have to Twerk it to Work It!!
PREACH IT!!! I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER .
Well THAT WAS AMAZING.
ESPECTACULAR ! PAULA ES UNA LEYENDA DEL POP .
Greetings from Japan! (^^) Paula is super cool! I can tell so for the rest of her backup dancers. Dominic Lucero who worked as a backup dancer for MJ is also fantastic! I've watched this show more than 10,000 times! Thank you so much for posting! (^^) (bow)
