I find it charming how Opelucid is either really futuristic and constantly improved on(Black) or classic and unchanged since it's construction(White). Both environments really feel like the setting for a *LUCID* dream, am I right?
Truth and Ideals
I like to think that both are true in some weird, fantastical fashion. Like alternating between channels.

@@Renotaraa honestly never thought of this games story to be so fucking good until my most recent playthrough. only issue is that its not clearly shown because reading text is less memorable than watching a cutscene (and most ppl just mash A through text like 7 yr old me) but holy shit actually seeing the story and the game makes it incredible

Seriously, my first pokemon game was White, Played the hell out of it till I lost it...
Now being more mature and growing up, just got a used copy of white again and started playing.
My god... It's the same thing I remember when I was 12, Beautiful. Amazing job!
White was my very first in the series too! And boy has it been forever since I played it.. I picked up another copy after I lost my first one years ago, can’t get enough of this game!
To be honest, black and white are cool. What I like the most is the soundtrack. But I think you should try out platinum too. It's my favourite and many other people love it too. That's why many are waiting for the diamond and pearl remakes.
white was my first game too, and it holds up to the test of time with the music and visuals it just has a certain charm to it you know and I don't care what other people say the pokemon are great, and I love my icecream boy
The same exact thing happened to me with Pokemon Omega Ruby. I loved it, then I lost it, and didn't get another copy for 4 years.
First pokemon game I had was Black and then I lost it... But then before a trip to Spain my brother found it somewhere and I was shocked, it even had my old save file.
Ah yes. My copy of Pokémon White still sits on my shelf. Not played as much as it was in the past... but I like to look back at it every once in awhile.
This is probably my favorite song in the Black & White OST. And this makes it sound even better!
Opelucid City is one of the areas in White ver. that never fails to knock me off my feet with it's soundtrack, next to N's Castle, it's somber, but still enstills enough hope to continue forward in a journey that has turned from a fun romp through Unova to a race to save the lifestyle integral to so many people and pokemon alike.

I only picked black 2 since i love zekrom's design
I picked both but played white mostly because Zekrahm is my preferred option as it pairs well with Samurott
I'd picked Black because I thought I'd be getting Zekrom.
Ended up with the fluffy white fireball.
Only regret is I don't get this version of Opelucid City.
I used to sit by the girl playing that instrument by the pokecenter for hours. Really good remaster. 👍

Never fails to bring a few tears to my eyes it sounds so beautifully bitter sweet like a time and state of mind in your life that can never be recaptured
I've always loved the dichotomy that Opelucid had in the OG BW that is still in BW2, but not as strong as the first games meanings in my opinion. In Black the city gym is ran by Drayden, someone who you would think want to hold onto tradition, helps run a city of constant the change. The opposite can be said for White and Iris, a young girl who normally would embrace rapid change, but is part of the city of sameness, not moving in age. The city is the same in the sequels but the only Leader is Drayden, as Iris became the Champion. The city lost a little of its spark there, but fills her character out more
Either way she was choosen by Alder to be the next Champion after the player disappeared to go search N, so it was kinda planned lol
I think it works well actually. Like you said Drayden represents tradition and Iris represents change, so Drayden stays as a gym leader while Iris becomes the new champion.
Why do I love Pokémon music?
I can’t think of any specific reason it’s just how it is... how it has to be
i like it because i grew up on it. that and its different from most music. theres no random asshole singing about something i really dont care about, theres no douche rhyming badly about bitches and being rich. its just music. nothing more, nothing less.

This is soooo good. The drums really add to the bass and the violin sounds so amazing. Once gamefreak inevitably remakes black and white Opelucid should have a remix on a similar level of quality to this definitely

This is probably one of my favourite town themes in any game. Not just Pokémon.

A song from the heart... Beautiful
I started on white, it was the game that got me into Pokemon, and I still play the games to this day, I have played every generation excluding gen 1 and have a fierce passion for these games. I have every Pokemon and its types memorized, there isn't a single Pokemon I am unfamiliar with, and all because of white. Hearing the songs remade brings me back to when I first started playing these games, I have easily played a thousand hours in gen 5 alone, and thousands of hours spread across every generation. I started in middle school, sixth grade, and I never stopped playing Pokemon, I played it straight through high school. I must have played through gen 5 at least 7 times. Call it excessive, but when life got hard, these games were there, filling me with a sense of adventure and friendship, things I lacked growing up. I can't even imagine how different my life would be if it wasn't for Pokemon, and it all started with Pokemon white, almost hard to believe that that game came out over 10 years ago. I may not be the same kid I was all those years ago, but I am glad I spent those 20 dollars to buy a used copy of the game, all the years of happy memories and all the friends I made along the way, all of the great experiences I have had with the games, all of them are worth far more than the 20 dollars I spent on the game, so if you ask me, it was money well spent. These games mean a lot to me, and I will cherish Pokemon for many years to come. Pokemon taught me that it doesn't matter if you win or lose, because what matters is if you found yourself along the way. The journey is always more important then the destination, because it is the journey that brings all our desires into fruition. We'll lose, struggle, learn, thrive, and all along the way.

Kronos something about the way the speakers handle the pitches maybe? High pitches and increased volumes can likely do a speaker in since it has to work that much harder to get the same sound. Could very well just be your speaker, but I’m not an expert on the subject.

I only just realized it's not Ocupeclid and I fell like a moron.
I like Black's futuristic version, but white version's quaint opelucid city untouched by time will always be be better to me, that beginning just hits like no other.
