It's interesting that they didn't recognize Caballeron. Might be just a silly cartoon moment that they didn't, but I'm also wondering if they're slightly trying to show off the fact that ponies REALLY base their recognition of other ponies on their cutie marks, and not so much their other looks. It's been shown that is the case before as well, though not quite to this extent. But I can imagine in a world of differently candy coloured ponies, it would be really hard to tell who someone was if everything but their chin was hidden under a cloak, and they also faked their voice.
I think it's just a target audience thing. We the adults can instantly see what's going on, but the characters are ignorant of it to put the story on the kid's level, so they can be like OMG IT'S HIM?!?!

Well, with the time it takes for these reactions to come out, they'll be out well after the official releases. ;p This episode was more or less like any other cartoon: Bad guy puts on a disguise anyone can see through, reveals himself, monologues, gets beaten, but escapes so that there are more adventures. Wonder if she just spent all her publishing money on the repairs...
This is a pretty good episode. Though the villagers can be a little dumb. Pinkie Pie being the voice of reason is interesting. The backstory on Sonambula is great.

I liked how they dealt with hope and believing in yourself even when others don't. It was nice seeing a new location, nice to see the Egypt version of Equestria. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

Despite the tale, this episode bombed hard for me. Seems weird Daring couldn't guess that was Caballeron. Seeing as it's someone she deals with on a regular basis. Even Rainbow has dealt with him enough to figure it out, seriously. It doesn't help I'm not a Rainbow fan. At least they balanced my least favourite with my favourite Mane Six.
This episode suffered HARD from 'kids show' syndrome. A big slip up from what it "could" have been, especially given the Egyptian setting and interesting lore.

My setup: Blue Snowball microphone (for recording my voice in Audacity) Panasonic HC-W580 Camcorder (for recording my face, though any decent webcam would do) Sony Vegas 13 (my editing software, though it costs money if you can't find a cracked version) As long as you have the three basic things (microphone, camera, editing software) then you're good to go, it's just a matter of finding what's best for you and simply experimenting :)
I can understand you wanting to watch the leaks. For a reactor like you, it's a good idea, as it reduces the chances of getting spoiled and ruining the blindness of the reaction. However, could you hold off on actually posting the videos until the episodes air legitimately? Some of us non-reactors don't like being spoiled, either.
That was the plan from the start, which is why I've been in no real rush to post. The show is way ahead of my posts anyways, but I know I can take my time.
I really liked this episode, but I think Rainbow Dash getting captured very easily was completely ridiculous. I mean Rainbow Dash could have easily taken out those goons, but she just stands there and does nothing. Cmon writers you are better than this.
I think that it might be the fault of the story boarders, not the writers. For all we know, the writer just said "Rainbow gets surrounded by goons who tie down her wings before dragging her away." Which can still translate to a believable struggle, but for some reason the animators lamely cut corners and made it very flat.
Luffyiscool Yeah your probably right, but still if Rainbow Dash can take on army of changelings, I'm pretty sure take on a bunch of low life thugs. I just thought of this now. What if Rainbow intentionally let herself get captured because she was hoping Daring Do would snap out of her sadness when she saw that her friend was in danger. Like Nukesova said, they weren't that far away.
I almost skipped this episode because I was not a fan of it. It was just really boring to me. I'm happy I didn't though, because I love your reactions.

Okay, initial thoughts as of about 6 minutes in: If you are in the life-threatening adventure business, and you want out, do you need to justify it?

I'm more concerned at how Pinkie and Daring are like 10-15 feet away. How they didn't notice from that close doesn't make any sense.
