That rise ajustment has to be the coolest idea on a stand-on mower.

When you whipped out the Sundrop, I then realized what an above average intellectual type you are. Thumbs up.😉

I love grass hopper they really are great machines the ones I’ve gotten before had a stripper kit installed on them from factory that was years ago but it was sorta like a leather strip across the back that brushed the grass as it’s cut.

The top compartment under the handles holds all the tools needed to take the guards off.

I'm tempted to let you borrow one of my 61 decks to try out on one of your front mounts. You'd be surprised at the productivity and ride quality...

I always thought the 90’s grasshoppers with the rear casters were so cool.

Where can we get that blade height ruler?

I’m actually waiting for mine to come in and I can’t wait. Do you think the flex caster forks they offer would help with the ride quality? Or just a waste of money. Anyways love your videos god bless you and thank you for all your information you give all of us.

We run Toro standers, found are the easiest to work on. The new model with 37hp motor and 24" wheels is a beast! Have always been a huge fan of Wright, speed, compact size but sooo hard to work on.

Just wondering. Why buy and stand up over a Z turn ?

      1. Smaller overall length. Allows you to put 3 machines on a trailer vs 2.
      2. Quicker to jump on and off to pick up debris.
      3. Others… ?

They're great for mowing tight spaces. I can see all 4 corners while I'm cutting.

Next time you use a 52 inch Grasshopper, slow the RPM down a tick. They use different size pulleys for different decks, and for some reason they overspeed the 52's. Too much blade speed can cause too much air flow that will overwhelm you baffle system.

I wonder if they stuck the pin in the wrong spot when they built that mower?

I’ve used grasshopper ztr and it is a great ride, but seem to be more for a homeowner. Smooth and slower. Not for production type work. Well made units though

I understand the aggravation of changing the belt, but every Grasshopper I've owned has gotten at least a 1000 hours out of the belts. I have one now with almost 2000 hours and have replaced one belt and one set of wheel bearings, and a few sets of blades. All idler/tension pulleys are factory.

Just my opinion but I think you over rotated concerning toolless belt changes. At the end of the day, every landscaper should carry a small tool set in their vehicle. You invariably will need tools at the most inopportune time for tightening a bolt, adjusting a carb, or pulling a cover. If you didn't carry a kit, you'd have to go all the way back to the shop for a simple 5 min fix. That doesn't seem like good practice to me.

non floating deck makes it's a scalp master with hills, and engine is underpowered. Gas tanks are in the way of very important adjustments. Not sure why GH opted to use over built hydros instead of getting the frame design right and put the gas tanks in the center where they belong. Nice build quality, LED lights who cares, quality of cut is supposed to be good. Bobcat blows this machine away for less money.

Grasshopper Stand On's may be one of the best, but Stand On's mowers are never superior to out front mowers.

    • @jc51373
      @jc51373 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

out front? Depends on the need, each mower has it's strengths and weaknesses, no one set up is superior to the other.
