Vaccinations take some time to be effective and to ensure you don’t have a reaction. Make sure to visit your local travel clinic at least one month before your trip to Kilimanjaro. You need a current tetanus shot (they last for 10 years) as well as an influenza shot. You’re going to want vaccinations for varicella (chicken pox), typhoid, hepatitis A, and MMR vaccine. World Wide Trekking does have a medical advisor in case you have any additional medical questions before your trip to Tanzania.
