    Dude you’re a genius. That or I’m stupid lol. Your looping technique with recording a “blank” loop first to avoid the popping is exactly what I have been looking for. Not even the main topic of the video but I’m so glad you shared that I really appreciate it. I’m thinking about getting the pod go but still on the fence because the stomp is such a beast

    Hey man! Love your channel. Can you use the Reverbs in the stomp to create pad loops with the Jet Micro?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you can create a pad loop with the looper, which can be controlled by the Jet Micro. I actually made a video about that a while back: th-cam.com/video/11v8_aYJl0w/w-d-xo.html
      I hope that's what you were asking. If you meant using a reverb effect to drone under your playing like the EHX Freeze pedal, I have not found an exact replica of that in the stomp. But I did get close in this video: th-cam.com/video/JC-0LDjzNf8/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that helps

      @HeyWorshipLeader  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey man, thanks! The buttons are close but very usable. They are also different heights so it's easier to press the back button without hitting the front two. The design is very though out. As with anything, once you get comfortable with it, you probably won't even think about it anymore. As far as my patch, I can share that soon. I'm out for a bit for the holidays, but will share it once I get back.

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The JET Micro used FS4 and FS5 to scroll up and down presets I believe. Which is what the dual Foot Switch would also use...but if you have a jet micro...I don't see needing another switch...

    Hey Jimmy, enjoying the videos! I’ve got a question and I’m seeking some advice. I recently got the Stomp and bought a EXP/FX pedal too. I’ve been hearing about problems running out of DSP? So if I can only afford 1 pedal what should I add first?? I was thinking between an overdrive (like maybe Foxcatcher), a reverb (Open to suggestions), or the jet midi? Eventually I will build up, but where would you start?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. I feel like the reverbs are the weakest point and so I would start there and run an external reverb through the FX Loop. But I’m into big ambient reverb sounds. If you’re not, getting an OD you know you love and putting it at the front of your chain is never a bad idea. I actually have both now. JET Reverb and Broken Arrow

  • @Reyvil777
    @Reyvil777 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How are you running the chain? o have the exact pedals without the midi controller I have a double switch instead

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I walk through it all in this video: th-cam.com/video/1ZdM-1hxWFs/w-d-xo.html
      The chain goes: Dunlop Vp > Becos Comp > L/mono on the Stomp > Send Stereo out of the Stomp > In/Left of the Specular Reverb > Out L&R of the Specular Reverb > Return L/R of the Stomp. And the Midi just goes from Stomp to the Jet Micro.
      Hope this helps! I would love to see your board! You can tag me or send to me on Instagram @heyworshipleader

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think the JET Micro is designed to change anything else. I think there might a be limited work around using a PC message to bring up presets, but I really don't understand it enough to give you sound advice just yet

    Hey Jimmy, I’m a local worship leader outside of Wake Forest NC. I am primarily an acoustic player and that is my comfort zone while leading but I am about to take the journey down the electric guitar road playing mostly rhythm with both electric and acoustic. We have a lead electric player who has the POD Go and seems to be totally satisfied with the all in one unit. I am in the market for either the HX stomp or the Pod Go. Which do you think would be a better choice? I would love to possibly meet up with you in the near future since you are in the Raleigh area. Great channel man. My gut is leaning towards the hx stomp….. I have watched about all your videos regarding the stomp but was wondering what your thoughts were. I definitely prefer how small and portable the stomp is but I know I will eventually have to buy the jet midi controller and an expression pedal in which $’s are adding up rather quickly. But will I need it immediately or can I build over-time. I want to pull the trigger soon so I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man! Thanks for reaching out! We definitely need to get together. Email me at jimmy@heyworshipleader.com so I don't miss any comments...sometimes stuff get buried in the TH-cam comments. But yeah...I'm a fan of getting into electric! I have no experience with the PodGo (maybe I'll get one soon)...but the advantages with the HX Stomp is that you have a lot more flexibility in creating tones by being able to create the signal chain you want....the PodGo is pretty much pre determined. And I'll also say that if you go the HX Stomp route...the HX Stomp XL is a really good option as well....unless you are really set on adding your own effects (which you can still do with the XL), the all-in-one capabilities of the XL make it just so easy...Mine fits in my guitar case...so I'm only carrying one thing! Can't go wrong either way...even if it's the PodGo you end up getting...they all have the same effects!

    Thanks for the video! I have a question about the hx stomp.
    Does the unit on it's own allow you to turn effects on and off while looping, or do you need the extra buttons on the jet micro for that function?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @nudsh
    @nudsh 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When I look at a pedalboard like this, I ask, why didn't you just buy a Helix floor? You spent the same and the floor would do so much more than this rig.

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel you. For me, it's a tactile thing and not merely a practical decision. I've always had individual pedals and love that feeling. But I also want the flexibility of amp/cab sim, a dependable product, and ability to still play with gear and interchange things that the Stomp gives me. A lot of it for me is how it makes me feel as an artist. I have never liked all-in-one boards (at least visually), so this gives me the best of both worlds. Also, I was able to do this project without spending anymore money! Since I sold gear to purchase gear. What do run?

    • @IsaacFlowers
      @IsaacFlowers 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say you’re also paying portability.
      I have a helix and use it for acoustic guitar, electric and bass.
      But for smaller gigs I just want to have the hx stomp, the jet micro, and the mini Dunlop volume pedal on a pedaltrain nano pedalboard.
      The footprint would be 14”x5.5”.
      Such a small footprint!
      And the upcoming year line 6 will be adding 2 more blocks to the hx stomp. So a total of 8! That’s insane. You will for sure be able to use this as a stand-alone all-in-one pedalboard.
      If you bought everything new, in the U.S. with taxes it would come out to $1100 including taxes. For an extremely portable board that can do almost anything, amp modeler and a ton of effects.
      If you go on craigslist, reverb, or buy something open-box, you can definitely get this rig for around $800-900,

    • @nudsh
      @nudsh 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IsaacFlowers , I finally downgraded the Helix floor to the HX Effects + my tube amps or a tube pre-amp pedal and/or wah/vol. This is where I finally found my portability. I never used the amp models in the Helix Floor much and have found that a decent distortion or crunch pedal pre-clean gets me there for short gigs if I don't have my preferred amps. I still have a full stomp board, but that is my home jam rig that has all my favorite 80's rock sounds. I leave it parked in front of my Blackstar 40.
