Thanks for bringing this topic up again. My husband kpai at work in the diaspora few years ago. Because he bought acres of farm land in Nigeria and lost it to the government. His cousin took him to buy the land and scammed him. It's traumatic. My brother got stroke first in London and kpai because of family and friends pressure even on his sick bed at the London rehab. People still ask for money. God have mercy.

I advise every black in the UK to request for Vitamin D test from their GP to know where they stand, you cannot imagine the havoc that low vitamin D can cause, it can be fatal

After realizing that the very day you are not able to help the same family members you’ve been helping all along is the very day they magically cancel you was the day I learnt to put myself first and be solidly footed before I can carry anybody.

I just blocked my dad, mum, and four siblings three days ago. They are ungrateful people 😢😢

I blocked mine… for a while.. years… and out myself first. Today I am a doctor. I can help them more easily. But I have myself and my family sorted first, always. For today, and the future. So, I am not giving my siblings any money on monthly basis… I told them all to invest in insurance… because they can. Put yourself first. Do not sacrifice yourself for them. You come first. You, and your needs.

@@prudencelove1026I don't blame you my sister, I was used for years by my sister to raise her her children even though she is married. Now they are all fine and they no longer speak to me, am now a bad person. I suggest you do what you can for your mother dear.

Aunty B, I am also a mother of 3, currently a nursing Mother, and doing my PhD. I also have my husband abroad with me but it's still not easy. How I unwind is that, I do not joke with my sleep, I watch comedy and on my own, I try to find peace and just dance, praise God and dance and laugh a lot whenever I begin to feel hyper. All is God though

We should learn to rest, our body needs it. some people asleep, but in the actual sense ,they're awake because of the pressure coming from left, right center.
If you don't draw clear boundaries your kindness can become your enemy.

I always wake up to one of my uncle's messages asking me for money, his last 3 request has been turned down. it has now become a pattern. He is always having delayed payments. 🤣

Maybe only about 5% of Africans are naive about spiritual matters, but it's the medical, mental, and physical part of self care that we need a LOT of learning for.

Africans do what you can,but take care of yourself first. Over here, I don't expect my children to be giving me money, they don't owe me. Please, you don't owe anyone but your health comes first. Some of them are better than you over there.

The sister that talked about blood clot is right. Nigerians always pray before they leave. I feel it's health underlying situation.

People should also learn other ways of making money in abroad, it must not necessarily be 9 to 5 job. Online business etc

So unfortunate that these people died in their prime . Well people need to be educated about life in abroad . Too much pressure , you gotta set your priorities right and never overstretch yourself over what ? Chasing the shadow . Too much competition . Well live within your means and cut your cost according to your size . No one comes here and begin counting money immediately . Life is too short ! Handle with care . Ask questions and ask for help as needed . No one asks after you if you fail to talk . No be easy life . 😂😂😂😢😅😅😅😊

May their soul rest in peace. Many that are coming some don't integrate and not fitting in well into the system and change in environment. UK can be boring if not Intentional.
