Family Trip RUINED, seeing Liana's Family and FINALLY getting dispute results!

- Well we've had an interesting week that's for sure. We started our trip off by getting completely stranded in the woods with no idea where we were going to sleep for the night but did end on somewhat of a positive when seeing Liana's family...

I kept waiting to hear the lady apologise on the phone ! Not one sorry did she utter ! Absolutely shocking service!
I was looking for this comment! Absolutely appalling. It's like she didn't want to say sorry because she didn't want to take accountability or responsibility (rightly so when it wasn't her doing), but you can absolutely be sorry to the people with a baby who had driven 4 hours and now had no where to stay!

I'm absolutely gobsmacked at that awful awful service!! The f*king cheek to say you have to pay for the hotel room! The fact that you are still smiling and polite throughout all of this drama is a true reflection of both of your positive natures. If it was me I'd be flipping the f**k out seriously!!!!!

They absolutely need to refund you for not only their booking mistake but the hotel that’s ridiculous they didn’t pay for the hotel after they screwed up!

I used to work for a big hotel chain and NOT A CHANCE we would make guests pay for a room at another hotel because we’d double booked them… that is ludicrous!
You guys need to get a complete refund, including the amount you had to pay for the room at the hotel!!! That is totally unacceptable!!

It would be utterly ridiculous otherwise. It’s not their fault, and if the company are not prepared to take responsibility, something needs to be done.
You’ve already paid for a room… you need to be refunded fully including expenses. This is shocking 😮
They need to issue a full refund + pay for that room. Mistakes happen, but they should make up for it. Awful service.

This is wild, you guys handled this so much calmer than me and my partner would have lol, we'd of been fuming!! You've been treated so badly. You deserve a full refund and your hotel paying for!! What a joke on their end. Horrendous service!!
I don't trust people like that lying to you saying they would pay for the room and then says you have to pay for it anyway and on top of that you get charged twice for the room, I think they knew there was someone in your lodge and expected them to leave by the time you arrived but jokes on them it backfired and they were dragged out to help clean up the mess THEY created. I agree with the comment section that you should get a refund you and your son don't deserve to get messed around like that. My deepest sympathies.
You need to get a full refund for the room the lodge and the food U had to bin. I've work in customer service and what they was unacceptable they should have paid for the room since it was there mistake.

You could always say to Koazy, that the sandal can not go out today, because it is not sandal weather today. It is sneaker or boot weather. If you want your child to make a choice, you give two that will be acceptable to you the parent to choose between. Then it is a win win all around! Independence for your child, within parameters for you. Same with clothing choices too. Believe me, been there done that and after my husband passed away from cancer at 43 yrs young when our son was 4 yrs old and it was most important that I rein issues in and be able to solo parenting effectively.😊❤

That's such a good way of putting it 'your crocs/sandals can't go out today because they don't want to get wet, but your trainers & welly boots like the rain & mud - which one will you choose?' Giving children options are so important to allow them to still have a say wherever possible, but it's the way you can change the wording like you've explained that makes all the difference! I'm going to try this with my very stubborn nephew when I next go up to see my sister in Scotland, as his beloved crocs don't like the rain & getting wet either 😂 Sending love to you & your little boy, it sounds like your doing a great job & I'm sure your husband's proudly watching over you both 🩵🩵🩵

I'm glad you got your refund. And they better pay for your hotel too!! I worked in a hotel. If we were overbooked, we booked them at another property and we paid that bill. Customer is always right, so we'd make it right. That one strawberry was huge!! I could live on strawberries❣️ As for the other house, you had black mold and I can't even believe how you lost, except for a $1000. Things are bound to get better. You're a beautiful family and blessed with the cutest little fella, Koazy and his cheeks. 💗💙💗

Can I commend how patient and positive you are even in stressful situations. Im not good with stuff going wrong and don’t handle it well. As one commenter pointed out, there were no apologies. I would be falling all over myself with so many sorries you could fill a bucket. I'm sorry you did not get money back from the icky house. On the plus, you got your money back and got to see your family. Everything happens for a reason... It is true that you guys do have some bad luck tho! MOST people say "that's my luck", when really it's not and they have decently good luck.. but, you guys can say that and mean it😄. Oh my goodness- I am so happy you both brought your son to a strawberry patch- my mom did when I was little and its a very happy and fun memory of running through the strawberry fields- eating some strawberries and picking them- it's really fun- especially at a younger age- so im really happy you all have given him a similar experience even though he is a few years younger then when I did it- (I was like 5?)
