Very nice Louie! The reason why there's Pontiac motor parts in your kit is because it shares parts trees from the MPC 76-77 Pontiac Ventura which shares the Nova body shell and most components
That came out as a very very nice Nova Louie. Great color for that car with the black stripes stripes. Window trim came out very good and neat. Top Build this month.
Great build! I remember in 1987, my 5th grade teacher had a white one with a rusty dent in one of the doors. I also remember a fellow classmate in high school had a blue 77 model. Thanks for sharing! 😊
That clear coat came out great, the build came out very nice. This is my favorite body style Nova, too. I am a former Missourian, too! Always enjoy your videos, thanks.
I am glad to see headlights were included on the decal sheet, as well as the gauges. I remember this era of Novas becoming high school hot rods too you really triggered a memory for me. Now I want to build this one.
Another great build. Perfect color combo. I like how you add some personal note to the build like how the engine is probably a Pontiac and not a Chevy. Your knowledge of the cars are very interesting.
Love the color choice - I was wondering what color you would choose when you did the unboxing. I actually have an AMT '68 El Camino in my collection painted in the same color with the black stripes from a Chevelle model.
Looks sharp. How was the chassis fitment to the body? I've had to modify all the MPC re-released kits to have positive fitment of those two components. Chassis fitment is too loose many times.
Louie, where do you find the Dupli-color 1k clear? Been running around trying to find it on a shelf but the usual places don’t seem to have dupli-color on them at all.
This was my first car which I drove my last two years of high school. Thanks for bringing back some great memories!
That's a great looking model. Well done my friend. Thanks for sharing.
This thing is cool. Love that orange

There also was a Pontiac Ventura version of that kit. Great build.

Nova turned out real nice, like the racing stripes and tire/wheel combo. My friend had one in burnt orange with a 250 straight 6 cyl.
Great job.
Amazing build thanks for sharing 🙂

Sweet build Louie! Your version turned out cool with the stripes. 😎👍
Great build just have fun modeling👍
Kit came out nice
Cool build. Might have to get that one.
Beautiful build on the Nova .. Chrome all show no go ! Lol
Absolutely awesome build man keep it up. It’s always great watching your videos. Keep it up.

Great job on this build Louie, decals are my least favorite part of a build but you make it look easy 👍
Nice color choice. I had a burgundy 6 cylinder. Good car.
I beg that i could get a 75-77 grill and headlight bezels. Why the 79 when it didnt have an ss version.
Looks sharp. How was the chassis fitment to the body? I've had to modify all the MPC re-released kits to have positive fitment of those two components. Chassis fitment is too loose many times.
The chassis fitment was great. No modifications needed on this one. Thank you for watching. Happy Modeling
@@TheAutisticModeler That's great to hear. Maybe the issues are with the kits, which have molded in details.
very cool!
Une voiture bien terminée ...Congrest ...
Great build thanks for sharing! Was it crafted after one you owned? ✌Canada✌
No it sure wasn’t. I wouldn’t mind buying one though. Thank you 😊
There was a cop car version. Thats why you get the cop stuff.
Dupli- color paint is mostly sold in automotive parts stores.
Louie, where do you find the Dupli-color 1k clear? Been running around trying to find it on a shelf but the usual places don’t seem to have dupli-color on them at all.
I buy it at Oreillys auto parts.
Look to me like a Pontiac engine... Look at the oil pan, intake, exhaust etc. 😳Definitly not a small block Chevy !!!
It was tooled from the Pontiac Ventura kit, so you would be correct.
Do you ever have any trouble spraying that Dulplicolor Clear OVER the decals??
No, that clear doesn’t hurt the decals. The trick is it dries slowly. Doesn’t pull them up and wrinkle. Thanks for watching.
Pick up Solvaset. It will help with the decals
How you get the paint over chrome so good
I use flat white primer first.
@@TheAutisticModeler you primed the chrome parts?
Yes
What is the black that you use to brush paint with?
I use a water based paint called Apple barrel. You can buy it at Walmart or hobby lobby.
🤓👍
Kinda bummed they did not provide the correct dash water slides.
The kit has several different versions of dash decals included in the kit.
Where are the side mirrors?🤔
They were not looking good at all way too small. I left them off
Great build !
