It's always a shame to lose services, but I understand why they're going. The Glasgow ones are especially useful if, like me, you live on the East Coast and want to avoid a potentially messy change in Edinburgh.

Will it be gone forever
It may return one day, but as of the December timetable change, it's gone permanently. Obviously, in 20 years, it may come back, but who knows.
