    Hi ! Or for you, I think is better ~ Namaste ❗🙏
    I am a man who was born (in 1959) in a village in my country ... but without the "pleasure" of walking (or living) in shoes. So all my life so far, I've walked more than 90% barefoot. I was a "barefoot hiker", always in nature, especially in the mountains (in my country are the Carpathian and Bucegi mountains).
    Of course, unfortunately, sometimes I used some shoes, more at school and then at university. And then I worked as a hospital pharmacist for 35 years. But shoes have never been my friends. In bare feet, my life was better (healthier, happier and more comfortable) than in shoes. My wife, Mary - RIP had the same "hobby" of walking barefoot !
    And now, as a retiree, I can say that life's too short to wear shoes.
    I wish you all the best, with health and happiness, in peace and love !
    I 🧡India - for me being the most beautiful country in the world.
    Sincerely, Dinu 👣, from Romania.
    “Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking and can symbolise a way of living - being authentic, vulnerable, sensitive to our surroundings. It’s the feeling of enjoying warm sand beneath our toes, or carefully making our way over sharp rocks in the darkness. It’s a way of living that has the lightest impact, removing the barrier between us and nature".- Adele Coombs, “Barefoot Dreaming” 💚

      Buna Ziua ,
      Thank you Dinu for sharing this beautiful experience. I do relate to the points that you have mentioned and I do feel that walking barefoot is the gentlest way of walking and can symbolise a relatively more sustainable way of living.
      I do wish to meet you someday and learn from your experiences in the outdoors.
      Regards,
      Manav

      Bună ziua, dear Indian friend Manav @@Creedaz, आप कैसे हैं ❓
      For starters, you can learn something from another friend of mine from India, who met some young girls who live barefoot in the snow in the Himalaya mountains.

      I feel it's good! Because they don't want to do "sheep herding" treks. So 90% of people are already filtered out. Only those who worships mountains will come here. Hence the quality subscribers!

    Another top-notch video! This is a classic example of a timeless video- instead of recommending a product straightaway, you have explained the reasons behind it. Even if the models are not available a couple of years down the line, viewers would know what to look out for while deciding on an alternative pair!

    All aspects thoroughly covered! Ankle mobility and entire lower limb strength is very important when it comes to injury prevention. Any new hiker must do mobility and strength excercises on a daily basis before their first hike, this can help prevent any unexpected injuries that might ruin their vacation treks. @Manav, maybe you could make a few videos about some basic injury prevention and strength techniques, for hikers as well 💪🏼

      @@Creedazbro, i have very wide toe because of playing football barefooted (my big toe and the second one is little distanced) and always gets blisters wearing sharped boots and running shoes. Never had ankle dislocation may be cuz of playing all the time but iam not usual trekker but i do run downhill easily but uphill is tricky as i smoke a lot but i can do if i do it slow. Which shoe would you recommend for ebc trekking so as i dont get blisters.

      Btw i ve watched your whole ebc video and found it super useful to go minimalistic. Kudos to you man. Im not that fit as you are. You’re experienced .
      Could you recommend a short itinerary kathmandu to salleri and then to ebc and back to lukla. ( want to include the kala pathar and goko/gokyo ri) in it. As you said its better to descent pass from ebc.
      What map you used for trekking or was it by asking people by people.
      Suggest me a good down jacket as mines a bit heavy and ive noted the track suite from your video. il be taking polarisd cat 3 sunglass and sunscreen/spf lip balm other than that and 2 pair merino wool sock ,2 thermal upper and a waterproof glouse and a merino gloves and 2 bandana to protect plus one sun hat. Hi, I find your videos extremely helpful. As a beginner trekker, I struggle with hard sole and high ankle shoes on scree, loose gravels, and slippery sand trails. I constantly lose grip and fall. While experimenting with running shoes gives me better grip, but they hurt my toes and ankles on descents. How can I overcome this issue?

    • @Creedaz
      @Creedaz  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Take a shoe which is 0.5 or 1 size bigger than your usual shoe. So that when you descent the toe has space to move.

    You seem to be supporting the barefoot walking movement, right? Can you suggest any affordable and nice looking casual shoes that are minimalist or barefoot in style? Almost all minimalist shoes are highly expensive if they are slightly good looking.

    With appreciation for your contributions, I am humbly curious, Should the wide toe box, be not added as a requirement for all stages of shoe selection?

    • @Creedaz
      @Creedaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a very nice point Vibhu. The shoes that we use from our childhood are narrow and therefore we first need to train and then do a gradual transition to wide foot.
      Wide foot also means that your feet might move inside the shoe, therefore, we need to see if our feet can take the wide foot.
      Therefore, it becomes a part of the transition.
