I took an amazing trip when I was 14 with my mom on the back seat of a Honda CRX 500, pulling a loaded trailer with camping gear, clothing, and food rations. We left Iowa first of June headed west to Oregon. We stayed with grandparents and toured around Central Oregon for 3 weeks. We packed back up and toured back to Iowa. We rode in rain for 4 days. It was an amazing time. We sent up camp one night extra early as we got a short break in the weather to dry out our gear. My mom repeated that trip two more times with my sister and brother. My brother got in on Mnt Saint Helen's irruption. That caused some engine issues temporarily until they hit Montana. Mom has been gone 2 years this June. She loved to ride a motorcycle to tour our beautiful country. Us kid's so enjoyed our trip with mom. I truly enjoyed your video. Breath taking country. Happy Summer Adventures 😊

I enjoyed watching the video. I did the Denali Highway trip on my motorcycle about a month ago. I FROZE. It has been a long time since I was so cold for so long. However I loved the trip and would do it again in a heartbeat. Maclaren pass was still almost continuous snow covered when I went through. I did the trip solo also (nobody to go with) and made it a three day two night trip. I had wanted to stretch it another day but was having a hard time finding camping spots as several campgrounds were closed, so ended up the last day traveling from the West end of the Denali all the way back to home.
If you decide to make any more trips on the bike and want some company, don't hesitate to give me a holler. I'm usually available on fairly short notice. Thumbs up on the video.

I loved your comment about losing your mind as a parent if your teenager took off on a 1000mile moto trip! I've done a lot of riding and ditched my bike as soon as we had kids....too many close calls with cars that didn't see me. Glad you were wearing dayglow colors and got back safe. Quite a nice ride you shared with us. Be well!

It is true. The camera can not capture even the visuals, let alone the experience.
However, those of us who understand the limitations of the camera, or, better still, the feeling of a similar experience, can extrapolate quite a bit from a photo or video.
    That was an incredible trip.
Thanks for sharing. I always feel like filming for others takes away from my own enjoyment, and I appreciate the sacrifice : )

A friend of mine was in the Air Force in 1981 Elmendorf AFB. He set us up with a rental motor home for a week and we traveled this route. It gave me the best pictures. On the gravel we got a flat on the motor home. I think Paxton might have been where we got the tire repaired. Motor home shook so bad on the gravel that the turn signal lever fell off along with one of the cabinet doors. Glad too see it hasn't been paved over. Good times! Thanks for sharing that.

I appreciate your perspectives on life and being a Christian married couple. Bugs suck but they are part of nature and nobody puts that in the brochure. Rangers lead the way and God leads the Rangers. Thanks for putting out there in the world that freedom takes hard work and dedication and showing America that brand new stuff doesn't equable happiness.
