I don't care if anyone disagrees, but the one where they gave their names was kinda wholesome. I mean, it showed an abusive and alcoholic father who care little to nothing about Optimus or what he did unless football trophies were involved. Optimus was trying his best, but his dad didn't care. Yet Optimus managed to rise to the top and become one of the most powerful transformers ever.

I was watching an episode of G1 couple weeks ago. I think it was the episode of the giant emerald powerstone that the decepticon found in the huge ancient temple. During a fire fight, I think it was Brawn, who was calling someone a "robot chicken"... by chance, is that where the writers got the name for this show?
Believe it or not, no. According to them, "Robot Chicken" is the name of a dish they found on the menu at a Chinese restaurant. It sounds like a stretch, until you remember there's also a Chinese restaurant menu with a dish called "Fuck the Duck Until Exploded".
