Very helpful and informative video Chris! Thanks for posting! Planning to pickup the new 44L Transporter during black friday this year to couple with my 100L Shuttle

I see you’ve not posted for a while but just wanted to say I found your reviews very informative and useful, and I bought this bag in black from Osprey during a recent sale as a result of watching your video. Many thanks and hope you’re well.

Love your overviews, Chris. How you go through every feature and pocket of the bag, pack it up with stuff in a realistic way and then show it to the viewer in every angle. It's just extremely helpful and you would get a very good idea of the bag, also you're a really nice presenter. Keep up the good work! ;)

OH. I bought the Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC for this purpose (overnights & cheap budget flights w/ handbags only)! But this bag looks super cute as well, same perks and concept (dare I say a rip off?!).
Glad to see there are other big names making lightweight travel designs.
Edit: i see you mentioned this now, I watched it on mute the first time around lol

Reminds me of the old Patagonia MLC which used to be 40 litres.

How does this compare to the Patagonia black hole MLC, or tres MLC 45?
They look similar. I’d love to see a side by side comparison if this with a Patagonia MLC.

Hi Chris, thank you for another great review. I love Osprey, I am a proud owner of the Ozone 42 and love how much stuff this bag can take. The transporter looks pretty big for an average tall woman. I saw on their website they have two sizes, the 44 and the 36. Do you think the smaller one would be good for a week long trip? Would you consider reviewing also the Rolling transporter carry on? Thank you and keep up to great work!!!

Hey Martina! Thank you!!! That's a great question. Without seeing the 36 in person, I would assume it may be a better fit, especially if your a somewhat conservative packer : ) I've found with a lot of the rolling luggage the handle and wheels tend to cut into your storage. 36 liters in a travel backpack usually is nice space to pack your items. Yes, I really want to take a look at the new Rolling Transporter. Hopefully soon! Thanks again!

Great review! Thanks, Chris. PS Did you say it has a hip strap? If so, did it fit you comfortably?

    • @ChrisU
      @ChrisU  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hey Simply Marbelous! Thank you!!! Yes, the bag includes a hip strap. It's well hidden so I just left it in for the review. I feel the bag is comfortable overall, but I haven't tried the bag with the hip strap. I'll try and out and let you know. Take care!

      That would be great! Thx!!

Hi Simply Marbelous! I apologize it’s taken a while to get back to you, but I finally had a chance try the hip strap. It is a basic strap that’s about an inch and a half wide. It does feel comfortable to me and seems to help keep the bag in place. Probably not as supportive as a true hip belt that’s not removable or hideable, if that’s a word. I hope this helps 🙂

    Hey Chris,
Love your reviews. I’ve been using the Transporter 40 for a while now, most recently as a one bag travel to Costa Rica. Love having one big pocket. I was looking at this new version as it has a little more organization. Do you prefer the Transporter 40 or this Transporter Carry - On?
    Cheers,
    Tim

Hey Tim! Thank you so much!!! Would love to visit Costa Rica some day. That’s a really tough question 🙂. I’ve always loved travel duffels so I would have to say, overall, I prefer the Transporter 40. This bag gives a little more room and, as you mention, the ability to organize some of your items. But I love the features and simplicity of the Transporter 40, plus I feel it’s a bit more comfortable. Thanks again and safe travels!

Chris U Yeah I feel the same way. I have a Transporter 40 and TNF XS like you. Both are incredible and serve their purposes travel/gym/work nicely.
      Thanks Chris

Major Con is that there's no padding on the back. Sweaty trip ahead
