      Especially when it was Man City who fucked the kid over by not helping him after releasing him. Sir Alex Ferguson always said that he hated having to let young kids go, and always made sure he had an offer from another club for them for the meeting. THAT is the way a top club should be doing things, not.. thanks for the last x years, but you're not good enough, cheerio. Fuck Man City for that.

      @javierlandaverde4108 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +78

      This is also something rarely people like to talk about. I can imagine how worse it is in England in a bigger pressure point, in big academies, the amount of players big club rake in each year to keep in there academies selling false hopes and dreams to young prospect and not letting them go to other smaller clubs. To some players, being dropped from a big club is meant as an end to your career. The emotional toll it takes on you is not for the faintest. The pressure you are brought by family, the team, friends and your dream career. Once that is over, you need to take time away and think about a different career.

      @@pauliusgecas472 see. I can say
      “He is over there.” Or
      “They are over there.”
      Both sentences are grammatically correct. Both sentences can also refer to a singular noun. “He” simply distinguishes who I’m talking about and what his gender is.
      If I say “they”, then the gender nor the amount of individuals is specified. Therefore those things must be understood through the context of the situation.
      Here, I meant “their” as singular, and was only referring to the one player who passed.

I'm still baffled by this decision to this day. I'm cheering on the sidelines for Palmer to be one of the greatest and prove wrong Pep and whatever moron at City scouting that allowed him to leave. I'd say there's a huge difference between being well-spoken, eloquent and academic compared to having genuine intelligence. Those who call Palmer dumb are probably expecting an equivalent to a highly educated Frank Lampard when he does interviews etc. But Palmer reads the game like a genius. He outsmarts players, becomes invisible on the pitch and strikes out of nowhere. I'd say that hardly makes him someone that's "too dumb".

    Wilcock was right this lads best attribute is his intelligence, he exploits space so well, as a consequence he glides over the pitch popping up in spots between the lines. He is going to be immense, suspect he goes on to play way into his 30s, I just hope he goes on to honour the 9 year contract at the club because there is going to be a statue of this lad outside the ground.

      I think he will stay at chelsea for up to 5-6 years minimum. He surely understands the club situation and he prioritized minutes. The lads still young so he focus on improving himself and chelsea is willing to give him the game time and the freedom so its the ideal place forhim right now. But if chelsea wants to keep him beyond 2030 then they will needto deliver trophies otherwise their usuall customer, real madrid, might want to have few words regarding cold palmer

Whilst Foden is fantastic, Palmer was head and shoulders above Graelish but only saw a fraction of the game time, but he was WAY better. Cole Palmer is a mix between Thomas Muller and Juan Roman Riquelme, similar to Riquelme, he is lanky, not the quickest, but a good dribbler and elite passer with unbelievable intelligence and a habit of doing bizarre things that wouldn't seem logical to the average fan, however similar to Muller, he is always aware of spaces on the pitch, what spaces are open, where to run, that is how he gets most of his goals, the only difference is that he has that added composure that Muller doesn't have (from the penalty spot)
