Fitting the Killer Body LC70 70 Series Landcruiser to Traxxas TRX4

- We painted up a Killer Body LC70 & fitted it onto the TRX4. Proline Denali Wheels with RC4WD Challenger Tyres complete the look & add a nice scale look to the project. Please note: Proline wheels are made from Nylon not Delrin as stated!

Love the LC70 from killerbody, don’t own a TRX4 yet but own a few of these LC70’s by killerbody and haven’t yet finished my builds but nice work on yours. Really like how your paint laid down.

I haven't gone back to it at this stage Nathan, too many other projects haha. The bed cover was made from vinyl used for seat coverings etc. Glad you found it useful!
Ahh crap, bought me a TRX4 Bronco for crawling since I don't want to destroy my TF2 Hilux when doing so....
But now I really need the Land Cruiser on me TRX4
so epic i wanna try to fit one on mine

Thanks for your feedback. The wheels do protrude from the body, i think the best explanation of the tyre coverage is the video at around 7.10

Thanks! The battery is in the original tray, i just removed the top strap & used a velcro strap to hold it in.

Are those wheels offset wider than the stock TRX-4 wheels?

Hi Jake, I believe it will fit the Bronco (being a shorter wheelbase) without modifying the links.
Mild to Wild RC I also thought about putting it on the defender chassis too. I can always buy 12.3 links set. Thanks for responding. Are you going to be uploading any more updates?

I watched this to find out how you secured the body to the chassis, but you skipped that part. How did you secured it?
Hi Leonoto, I machined up some round nylon pieces which fit snug over the front posts & glued them to the body. The back is just attached with sticky back velcro. It wasn't the best system as it was rushed.

are trx defender wheelbase suitable for this body kit?
The Defender uses the long wheelbase & the LC70 is designed for short wheelbase so it is not suitable without modification.
How difficult was it to fit the body to the chassis
It wasn't too difficult Con, apart from having to use shorter links & then come up with a way to mount the body. I just used velcro at the back & some round nylon which i drilled to fit over the top of the body posts at the front but there are many ways to approach that part of it. Other than that it was pretty straightforward!
Wouod have done cantilever from xtraspeed i stead of cutting bed
dont keep the cab and bed together, put the bed over and then cab over on the frame so theyre somewhat independent of eachother
