I do hotshot work out of Manitowoc WI so I’m not far from you. Can’t blame you for wanting to move to FL as you mentioned. Fighting the cold simply burns a guy out. Thanks for the videos.
Cool video thanks Steve….sorry to hear about your equipment loss…..sucks….we’ll still watch whatever you post anyway stay safe and hydrated out there 👍
When you stop for Go Pro supplies, stop by Walmart for 4 cans of frosty white Krylon to dress up those drive wheels. Truck looks really good. Great videos
i once had a great heavy duty lock, that was issued to me, in truck driving school. had it for a long time, till i left it on the dot bumper, when i was delivering aluminum coils to a denver newspaper warehouse, couldnt afford a new one, so was stuck with cheap locks
i once had to make that trip from Laredo to Brownsville, but i had to bob tail, and it started etting strong winds the close i got to the coast. its bare out there. sometimes you see hydroponic farms. i picked up some tomatoes at one of thise farms.
Hey sometime you have a good day and sometimes you have a bad day but the main thing is you made it back home safely and that's the good thing but you managed somehow to still make a good video so good job keep doing what you do
Man that sucks about the equipment. Is there a way you could possibly use some paracord and say make a form of Tether? Those cheap aluminum carabiner and a few well tied knots? Or when I ran a tow shop here in the frozen shithole of duluth I used to have drivers loose equipment all the time. And I'm guilty of it too. Perhaps a low tech solution could be a note somewhere you absolutely have to look at it. Stating. Tools video bag go pro's or whatnot. It worked wonders on our service trucks. And the tow units were gloves chains lights tools. Worked for us. Distractions are spendy. Great vids love that flying brick
Yeah I'm trying to put up like a tie down strap or top the magnet hold it down and you know I probably put a TV screen inside your cab so you can actually put a small camera that cost like 20 bucks a little black and white looking at you go apart so when it loses his footing you will see it loose when you can pull over and reattach it see how it came apart we don't have the same mistake twice three times and I use a voice synthesizer my spelling sucks
OK, im alright with a short trip. I understand there is a huge investment in time and resources to make these videos happen, not to mention the regular everyday bull shit that comes with trucking, especially up north during the winter. I went up there and froze my buttocks off more times than I care to remember. Hang in there Steve. Im sure your mother told you there would be days like these. Take heart my friend. We all love you and we are cheering you on here in SW Middle Tennessee.
I'd love to work for your company if I was a driver because y'all seem to come down to these parts quite a bit. Ouch on losing them go pros and cards.. That's not going to be a cheap replacement. When you get up to around Houston, you can find a Best Buy fairly easily especially in La Porte or any of the burbs around our city,
You try nylon and tie it to the go pro and use magnetic mounts I assume u do so if does come unmounted it's on nylon hopefully it doesn't come untied lol
You took the worst route to McAllen. the better route is hwy 359 to 285 Falfurias, then 281 all the way to McAllen. Less traffic and plenty of truck stops along the way.
you got to double check your stuff Steve where you leave them, because Go Pro's is not Cheap i know you don't be that careless...just be more careful next time
Love the cab over Pete Steve, but you gotta get the Ol Girl some new Alcoa rims don't ya think? Any way love your videos man, stay safe and keep the vids coming!
I could never live in Texas. Now, before you Texans get all bent out of shape, it's just that I don't like all that flat open space and that's the only reason. I need mountains and forest. And, yeah, I know there are parts of Texas that fit the bill but, in general, it's flat. But that's just me. To each his own, right?
@@pecheur1951 Actually, I've been there on vacation and loved it! Very friendly people and a wonderful history. Keukenhof gardens in spring are unbelievable! But, you're right, I'd rather live in the mountains.
This amount of state troopers on this route is completely normal. Keep in mind it’s a drug and illegal immigrant route. If you counted less than 20 state troopers you probably lost count or missed half of them lol.
I do hotshot work out of Manitowoc WI so I’m not far from you. Can’t blame you for wanting to move to FL as you mentioned. Fighting the cold simply burns a guy out. Thanks for the videos.
Great video Steve sorry for the loss of equipment and SD cards. Really enjoy all the camera angles and your commentary stay safe Steve.
In the jet ski world, we use tethers to attach the gopro so if the mount fails its still attached.
Cool video thanks Steve….sorry to hear about your equipment loss…..sucks….we’ll still watch whatever you post anyway stay safe and hydrated out there 👍
I would have loved to see you pass by on hwy 83. Maybe next time.
Ps. There’s a ton of State Troopers and sheriffs on this hwy.

These new shooting angles worked actually quite well !! cheers .
Sounds like your cameras need some tethers as a secondary method of securment
Crazy how you can drive from horrendous cold frozen weather down to warm sunny pleasant temperatures. Makes you not want to come back up north.
Get yourself a bright orange bag. You won't miss that. Keep the content coming. Peace!
Hey Orwell and Steve,as far as I'm concerned,it's The Year Of The Cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, I’m sorry you lost that stuff. I hate losing stuff. I played a gig in McAllen once. Its a long drive from Lubbock even, inside of Texas.
Cheers from austin TX, I hope your having a good time down here and in south texas.
Hey sometime you have a good day and sometimes you have a bad day but the main thing is you made it back home safely and that's the good thing but you managed somehow to still make a good video so good job keep doing what you do
Wow the other videos you passed through fort wayne indiana where I currently live and my home city mcallen texas bad ass!!!
Was just in Mcallen last week! I'm always one step behind ya Steve. Southside of Chicago if you ever need a hand
Down here in my neck of the woods, I live in Edinburg which is just north of McAllen. BTW temps this week up to 105 on Wednesday
Trucking is not getting any easyer..Rough life, good luck, you will need it..
Welcome to the south, brother!
Awesome Steve!!
Nice truck man... 83 highway is a good one, some slow but good.
Steve you seem to handle the Northern Winters quite well I know all about up here in Edmonton I'd also like to relocate to Florida one day
My old trafficking area. You drove by a sewing shop front that I used to build stash spots in vehicles for transport. Good times.
You could connect a tether on your go pro
Man that sucks about the equipment.

great videos Steve was that a blue IROC by the man door at the first of the video
My beautiful Laredo yessuh
thank you for the video
safety travel and safety hearth
Mini Me has come back from the dead as a truck driver. He's not mini any more, either.
Looks familiar, hauled many a loads of French fries to Laredo!
You need a special pre-flight checklist.
it's rare in south Texas to get a couple inches of snow. nobody has snow removal equipment in the area.
I like Orville. I'm new to your channel

Should have used the snow blower on the trailer too.
word of advice from someone who travels this route a lot watch the speeds in the smalls towns the cops love to get ya for that there.

How long ago was this with the snow??
Do you ever go to the drive-in?
12:50 LOL they make residential streets out of their major boulevards!
I was so confused at start on where theres snow at laredo or mcallen lmao
You try nylon and tie it to the go pro and use magnetic mounts I assume u do so if does come unmounted it's on nylon hopefully it doesn't come untied lol
👍👍
I bought a ratcheting strap bar, will see how it works tomorrow, what mpg does Orwell average?
You made to the valley cool

i say it before use a safety elastic wire on that go pro's , come it lose , your safety cable hold him by your trailer/truck...
Nice vídeo! Be safe buddy
yeah when I went to the border I want route 10 that goes right right next to the border
OKay, what did the bag of sd cards look like? Where should we start looking? With 58K+ subscribers someone has to be near where they were lost.
Bummer on the footage and SD cards! :/ Sounds like something I'd do.
Watch out. Lots of law dogs creating speed traps on that route.
Your going to laporte. Thats where i spent ten years of my life and my 14 year old son libes there still
I used to live in la porte Texas 😃
you got to double check your stuff Steve where you leave them, because Go Pro's is not Cheap i know you don't be that careless...just be more careful next time
leaf blower for trailer
Love the cab over Pete Steve, but you gotta get the Ol Girl some new Alcoa rims don't ya think? Any way love your videos man, stay safe and keep the vids coming!
New rims look nice but don't make extra money. Keeping Orwell trucking reliable and efficiently does.
It looks like you went by lots of Texas DPS .
Where in Jersey are you from?
You mean it snows in the desert?????
I had a girlfriend from El Paso once...grim story
Must have been near the end of the month and all the cops were short on their ticket quota and trying to make up for it........
How to keep from losing the bag.
Walk over, put it in the cab, walk over put it in the cab etc., etc..
Somehow I guess Steve already knew that...
Two cities. Two complete dumpster fires.

If mountains are your thing never come to the Netherlands 🇳🇱. Population 17+ million and flat as a pancake. Hope you all have a great day 👍
