The night is still, the streets are quiet, In this house lived my love; She left the town long before, Yet her house is still standing in the same place There i also see a man, standing and staring into the heavens, wringing his hand in violent grief; i shudder when i behold his face' the moon reveals to me my own likeness. You Doppelganger, you pale companion! Why do you mimic my love sickness, That tormented me at this place, For so many nights in the past?
I prefer this opening to the PsP version because I really enjoyed understanding the poem better as I progressed in the game. I think this is an amazing opening both in terms of the visuals and the inner meanings which contribute to the story.
for a game made on a 1995 console
This game had maybe one of the best openings
Yet it released 4 years later, in 1999.
But sadly until 2011 never released outside of Japan
@@bv1825 i forgot i commented on this video
@@senbiche No wonder
1994 actually, even more impressive.
Worse than alone / Exiled.
Worse than exiled / Dead.
Worse than dead / Forgotten.
This is hands down the best Persona op. Like seriously nothing beats this eargasm giving piano.

Once you finish Innocent Sin on the PSP this opening plays in the menu screen occasionally
@@battler_zz i think it just plays if you don't press anything on the main menu for a bit. i haven't beaten the game but ive gotten it on the menu
@@deadeyeguys thats weird, it only started playing for me once i beat the game
Does the entirety of the poem relate to the plot and how?
@@Max1996YTyes, mostly about Jun, Tatsuya and Maya

Reverse Uno
The first part is so beautifully haunting
This is schubert der doppelganger btw,
The author is Heine, Schubert is a composer who wrote music to this poem
The poem helps to understand some aspects of game's plot, btw
Yes, and it was also mentioned within the game.
Best op of the series
I love this opening with all my heart
These graphics are insane
Let's hecking go
Dear Atlus of the past,
This makes a better trailer than an opening cinematic
Nah
I mean p3fes opening was a better trailer if you ask me
Me, Anonamis and Marron Hak are so far the only ones to comment
Not for long
The tale of the end begins...
Ngl the English text looks less imposing as the Japanese text from Tsumi, the ps1 version of IS is still the superior version in my opinion
Eh, the message is still the same. And both versions have their perks.
@@ChiefMedicPururu no I mean the text itself looks less menacing
@@sociallyawkard5675 Meh, for me, neither are menacing.
@@ChiefMedicPururu I just think the original Japanese text looks more imposing
