i remember being six or seven and seeing my grandmother beat my bed ridden grandfather. he was a horrible alcoholic and i believe he was so emasculated by her that he took his frustrations out on their kids, abusing them physically and verbally. it was alcoholism finally lead to his body just shutting down and failing him, so he was in a bed for a few months. people knew he was dying and would slip small bottles of alcohol behind his pillow. when my grandmother would find these bottles, she'd beat the crap out of my grandfather. the memory that sticks to me the most is when she was beating him on the chest with a closed-fist and he finally gathered the strength to push her off of him. he cried my grandmother's name, saying "oh please don't! please don't! im sorry! no more, please!" he passed away a few months later and i remember my grandmother making me grab his dead hand in his hospital room. my grandmother had a job, plenty of grown children to support her, so i don't think she abused him out of fear; i think she did it because she's somewhat sadistic and was simply pissed that she had to change his bed pan... cool story, i know bro. hope i cheered you up.
F’n a... Jim comes off as hating his parents, siblings, neighbors, etc... lol Love his comedy but I don’t know if I’d want to be his neighbor or friend
@@iphonewalkthroughs that’s understandable, and I’ve listened to a lot more of his stories regarding his family recently so I can see that. No I don’t understand losing a parent fortunately, not yet anyhow and yes everybody reacts and handles grief in different ways.
Vos chiming in with Breuer's mother made me lose my shit.
Yh then Opie almost ruined the whole thing.
his "official" voice killed me 🤣
This was really dark.
Life is dark.
