    Would love to see Josh more on URM and Riffhard. Have huge respect for this man. His songwriting, guitar & vocals skills and even productions are a golden standard in modern metal.

    @33:00 I played for 20 years and never recorded a song. Never even had a full song. Since recording myself and making songs my playing has improved more than ever. Not just the playing but the way I think about the riffs, the context in the whole song. Solos are so much easier to right. Having to learn to play bass and think about what that's doing. Having to think about drums and how they accent riffs and the pace of the song. Recording and making songs is a huge mind opening experience and crucial to being an artist I think. I can't believe I went so long without doing it.

    First time viewer here, this podcast felt like half a music lecture and half of a convo between the two introverted guitar nerds huddled up at the backside of the party riffing (pun intended) off each other for an hour.
    I really appreciate youe attention to detail and presenting context of a question for the audience. Excellent video!
