    I just realized I misspoke at 16:19; I meant to say "turning a 2v1* into two 1v1's." Oh well, I guess I need to "edit gud."

    I have over 3k hours and just watched this for funsies after seeing it in my recommendations. Honestly, very well done, great job. I also appreciate those Vegas transitions haha, the "void" one is a favorite of mine too.
    edit: oh my god, that running glitch with the syringe, it brings me back

    Excellent Video, I think the biggest problem New Players have is Very poor Situational Awareness which clearly you do not have. Yours is excellent. There is also a misconception about Percentages at a base, 3 to 1 Odds, 3 vs 1 at a 1 - 12 base fight in not much, especially if the 3 is not working together which is usually the case. I don't think a lot of people look at the actual numbers, Calculate what is actually there, just the percentages when they look at the map. I would also like to point out that most players do NOT know, or if they do know fail at keeping their mini Map at the Large Size by pressing the H Key and then the Square Brackets to zoom in and out. It helps with situational awareness. You can toggle that with a good Gaming Mouse. Only small Monitors would have a problem with that but if you have a larger one user the bigger view, and adjust the Size of it for the area you are working in. Excellent insight into the game for new leaders. Enjoyed it. Thanks. P.S. DOG always enjoys fighting BWAE. Always a Good Fight.

    Very helpful, especially for newer players. Wish the Devs had this kind of stuff in the Tutorial. Took me about a month or Two to finally learn what you taught in 20 min.

    Good info man! I think I had an advantage when I started playing PS2 because I didn't come into it with any baggage from other FPS games. I played a little, but nowhere near as much as I play PS2. So it was easy for me to learn what to do because a lot of it is just common sense.

    I think something's wrong with my eyes, I could never change my focus on things as fast as the eye tracker shows. Am I getting old?

    Thank you. My channel is basically just Mechwarrior Online. Which is an amazing game. But I hadn't liked any FPS games until I played Planetside 2. Could never play before because I had a low end laptop....couldn't even play Mechwarrior. Last year I finally snapped threw my laptop out a window and went and got a Desktop for gaming.
    About 4 months ago I downloaded Planetside 2. Interested from the years of hearing about it. From the start I was in love. But also very annoyed at how fast I was dying. And the lack of kills and performance on my part. About two months ago something happened. I was messing around with my Corsair M65 Pro and realized I was changing my DPI way too much. If I didn't like how I played I would switch it. You can't get better with aim if you have no muscle memory. I switched to a low DPI that felt best and did notning but play PS2 with light assault only using 1 or 2 different carbines. Then it happened. I realized a second thing. Not only was my aim 100% better but something just clicked and I said why the hell am I just running into this shit blind? Combat awareness. I was just running sort of wherever thinking that if everyone else is running that way I should to. SMH... I'm glad I realized it. I still have Alot to learn but I can get 10 kill streaks in hectic battles Alot more. Although sometimes the best fights are smaller. Great video

    guys, never spawn at spawncamp, its almost useless. Take a sundy from the nearest base, and try to park it in some safe place near the sieged base

    This kind of guide is a bit toxic since it emphasizes the need for you as a player to get kills...
    There's more ways of getting certs than just your own personal kill count and chasing after kills can even be detrimental to your factions progress during alerts etc.

      ...?

    • @exodus9877
      @exodus9877 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's toxic to get kills... in a game about getting kills and capturing objectives as a class about pushing into enemy squads to apply pressure or kill them and use the rocket launcher to destroy vehicles? buddy the rocket launcher isn't shooting beanbags or bbs.
      You try and capture a populated objective without getting any kills at all. Though, based on your comment it seems like you rarely get any kills anyway lol

    • @Mtaalas
      @Mtaalas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@exodus9877 I can't do nothing about it if you don't want to understand me and want instead to pull black and white comparisons ans scenarios from your hat to argue against me.
      Yeah you would like to get kills, sure and nobody would fault you for it. But to constantly emphasize it's all there is and that's how you're a good player is just ignoring the game on so many levels and it's toxic since "if you can't get kills, you're a bad player!" is just not a real thing in this game even if some claim so.
      And the demand from the community for being able to get multiple kills per life is just really annoying and increases the frustration even further when you can be very useful part of the team even without getting kills.

    • @Dudisfludis
      @Dudisfludis  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mtaalas The problem with this kind of thinking is that this game is an MMO first and an FPS second. Most of the game is shooting other people in some way. If players want to do something other than that they can, and there are plenty of other tutorials for other things that don't involve shooting people. But to call a tutorial like this for players that actually want to kill other players more effectively "toxic" is just such a completely ignorant statement. You are saying it's toxic to want to play like this when this is the majority of the game. How toxic does that make you?

    • @Mtaalas
      @Mtaalas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dudisfludis it's toxic to emphasize that this is the only way to be a good, useful player and be accepted. As one of the comments in this thread already shows, that type of thinking is rampant in the PS2 community and that makes it toxic.
      One can play how ever they want. it just puts people down when being very good FPS player is the emphasis and people get yelled at or "doubted" like "you can't get any kills it seems! you loser!" it's used as a derogatory thing... like it's a way to shame someone..
      If you're really good at the strategic side, you're good at leading troops, organizing attacks and distributing resources... you can be as valuable to the victory of your faction as someone who can do 10 headshots in a row... but this side of things is very often disregarded and everyone's talking about how to get kills in their tutorials and videos and...
      Yeah sure... if that's how you want to play and that's what you want to to concentrate to... sure, go ahead. But it would be nice to be acknowledged that PS2 has more places to be good at than just the FPS side.... that's all.
      It's not much different from toxicity of "what kind of a boy are you for not liking cars!!!???"
