I swear I'll remember the sound of those afterburners till the day I die. Love the angels. Live right across the river from NAS JAX, constantly woke up by the angels training for a show or testing the recent Super Hornet upgrades. It's different to hear C-130's coming in for final or taking off from the base, any time you drive past the base or onto base, you see an F18 on a pylon, can't ever forget about these guys
You got it at the right time and the right day with the all six ship in formation because on Saturday they announced that BA#6 won't fly until further notice. Awesome video!
My grandma can take off & land on a stationary, 10,000' runway. It takes a true flyer to trap aboard a pitching, rolling, and yawing postage stamp moving away from you at 25 kts. GO NAVY!!
It’s been really fun to watch them practice this year with their new birds. Always fun to watch how they just dial it in at El Centro and are so tight to start the new show season. Simply the best.
I've seen the Blues 15 or 16 times now and their flying is amazing. But even more impressive was a few years ago, several aviators and crew members visited the VA hospital where I work and we escorted them around. Watching these men interact with our Veteran patients was beautiful. The typical 'fighter pilot attitude" was gone. They were so humble and respectful, and seemed like they really were happy to be there.
The random fly bys when we’re visiting Gulf Shores is always the highlight of our trip! (Aside from going to watch them practice, of course). We’re renting a boat up watch them from the water this year!❤️
Fantastic show and stunning footage. This is probably the best video I've seen of the Blue Angels, and I watch demonstration team videos a lot. I guess I will have to wait until next year to see them in Cleveland, OH. I see they already have tentative dates scheduled for 2022.
Great video. Can't wait to see the Super Hornets in person. I always hold my breath a little when #5 or #6 does the roll right after takeoff... Almost looks like it is going to stall and then climbs straight vertical. Just shows the power of the engines.
Saw them this weekend 4 times...2 times when they practiced near the USS Lexington. We live two blocks from the beach and they really put on a spectacular show in our neighborhood! Nothing beats having Blue Angels flying over your house! WOW! Reminds me of the Iron Maiden song "Flight of Icarus" "Fly on your way, like an eagle, Fly as high as the sun, On your way, like an eagle Fly, touch the sun"....

I was at this airshow in Lakeland it was a very sunny day to say the least, so many planes it was hard to count, got a bad sun burn, but I had a great time. There was an F-22 there and its the loudest thing I've ever heard. I also recorded it on my phone, and for some reason fat Albert didn't fly. Also a plane crashed at Cocoa Beach apparently.
Blue Angels are incredible. The perfection of flight,precision and the incredible abilities of the pilots. Fantastic!!! It is sad that we haven`t such a team in Germany. Ihope Ican see them live!!
Thank you for this great video. The BA's are legendary. Missed seeing them last 2 years & hope to soon. That new Super H is jaw dropping. The final "peel-away" maneuver at 19:00 impressive to see at your location. The entire show is impressive. Any new stunts to look for this year?
The Blues would probably take exception to calling their maneuvers "stunts" because that term makes it sound too much like there's doubt about the outcome. The Blues practice this stuff so much and so often, and they brutally debrief each performance and practice so there's no doubt that each one is safe. The new show is shorter, as is the Thunderbirds show. Both teams have cut out some redundant maneuvers and really abbreviated the ground show, especially in the case of the Thunderbirds. Their End of Runway Inspection used to take entirely too long and they tended to lose their audience, especially the kids. Both teams have tightened up their shows. I think folks will enjoy both.

One F-18E making a landing is really loud if your located anywhere nearby. Four F-`18s on take off power even without lit afterburners has to be unbelievable. The sound of Freedom.
The Boeing Super Hornet seems far more stable in roll maneuvers than the former. Although the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 will always be my childhood favorite.
Flat show due to clouds. No dirty loop. Great job filming and you got the high speed pass. The larger Super Hornet makes it appear slower, especially when compared to the A 4 they used back in the day.
This engineer will always wonder if my eyes were up to the standards for a pilot, would my reflexes have been up to the standards? Can partly know what their eyes are like as my vision with contacts was 20/15. Almost wish I were capable of envy. Am capable of respect and awe.
This is astounding and amazing. How do they do that precision flying? Especially stunning is the dirty roll performed by #5 on takeoff. I had to play it back 3 times to remind myself just how remarkable these pilots are.
The solo's taking off had his plane very low on the loop. He is usually 50'-75' higher. The other thing is the smoke on take off of the diamond. The smoke is eaten up by the afterburner. Save the smoke for later in the show. Great to see a show other than El Centro.
2:30. HOLY CRAP! 5 goes full dirty roll and then into a damn near vertical climb in conjunction with 6 going unrestricted??? DAMN!! That’s insane! This is why God created energy transfer.

Saw them perform today at Annapolis. What a thrill! Performing at about 450 MPH. That's only about 40% of their top speed of 1,190MPH.
I filmed the performance without ear protection...regrettable but rewarding as I caught it all on camera.
I was there for this, its a LOT louder than people think, you could FEEL the noise in the ground.

Yea the super hornets don’t have that howl that the older hornets do. But on the up side they’re louder in full burner!
