i don't what the context is but its a famous pashto folk song, maybe related to some historical event in which boys had to leave home town and Go to Kabul for some business. "Girls are crying because boys are going to Kabul once Again" "Jinakaaaai zhari aw warkii bya Kabul ta zina
The drums are tabla. Not sure what drum you've heard with sitar; might be udu. This vid above is with traditional Afghani instruments. I think sitar is more commonly played in India.
Dear the one you think of is not this one drum is like this 🥁 and in Afghanistan it is called (thabla) but this is called dool. It's Afghani instrument.and drum is beaten with stick and this one with hand ✋

This is real Afghan music
Beautiful melodies. I really enjoyed it. Thanks!
Correction, this is an old afghan melody not written or composed by Quraishi.
Yes, In the Title, it clearly states "folklore"
It never says Quraishi wrote or composed it.

Anyone knows the name of those drums?
Are those the same usually used on indian music along with the sitar?
The drums are tabla. Not sure what drum you've heard with sitar; might be udu. This vid above is with traditional Afghani instruments. I think sitar is more commonly played in India.
They are tabla drums and originate from India, but are used just as commonly in various neighboring regions.
tabla do accompany sitar as well....
