For increasing medal values, first collect 8/9 medals without letting one drop at the bottom, increasing it from 10 to 80/90, and then collect a slave. Then, repeat with 100 to 800/900, and collect another slave. Repeat this once again, from 1000 to 10000. Finally, get 9 medals on the screen at once (exactly what a miclus holds). This creates an explosion, and allows you to get medals from 10000 to 100000. If you don't collect the slave at the proper moments, you'll only be able to go to 9000.
The Raiden Fighters games are pretty esoteric with bonuses...this guide should outline most if not all miclus and fairy locations: rf-emporium.ghegs.com/rf1/stage1.htm
Fantastic playthrough my friend. I've been focusing on survival and getting a feel for RF 1 and 2 so far. I'm currently in the top 10 on the leaderboards for those 2 games....felt good about that until I watch plays like this haha. And I really wish scores didn't expire. That's so dumb. It's not a popular game so there aren't even 200 submitted scores. -_- I think I'm gonna start playing more seriously and trying to focus more on medals and secrets to play for score and hopefully get in the top 5. Definitely gonna study your playthrough here as well. How many hours have you played Aces? I just topped 28.

My highest record in that game is 120 millon and something using judge spear slave and 90 millon and somenthing in judge spear
