Great video, just bought a new Tiguan SE and love it Volkswagon did a great job with it,and you're right the power is a little under rated overall a great vehicle.
Ugh those fake exhaust tips look bad. LOL I'm not sure if it was just because it was video or not but the steering wheel just looked cartoonish big. Nice review as always man!
I know haha the exhaust tips are the only bad part of the exterior styling I wish they at least gave us some cutouts. And the steering wheel was pretty big but the camera made it look a little bigger than it was. Steering wheel was probably my favorite parts of the interior outside of the cooled seats coming standard on this trim. Appreciate the comment as always Scott!
Hey bud, are you certain the headlights have AFS? A lot of owners on Vortex are complaining that their headlights don't turn with the wheel. The youtube videos say they are supposed too.
@@MatthewFura OK, check your manual or the side of the light fixture. Is it equipped with IQ (matrix LEDs)? The high beams turn off and on automatically to illuminate the road, and to avoid blinding on-coming traffic. They also should include a light indicators on the dash, that turns on additional (edge) lights to illuminate the very edges of the road. At last check, those were standard on R-line and above. Of course, manufactures can change equipment groups continuously. But these should still be the case.
Interesting how some feel the power is OK but others don't feel that way. If VW would just bring the Euro "R" model as a third choice to North America and let us choose, then everyone can have what they want and VW won't loose customers to other brands. Just listen to the consumer.
I'm getting over 30mpg highway and 24 city on the sel r line awd which is supposed to have the worst mpg of all the trims. Not sure about all the other things mentioned but everything seems great so far.
No German car does, regardless of price. Germans build solid performance cars. If you want reliability, look to the Japaneses. That's what they do best.
Finally an honest review on the very underrated VW Tiguan I bought one and have 0 regrets great content 💯
I own the 2022 and I don't usually get excited and want to show off but this one is definitely special.

I really love this 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan.
Terrific job with your videos as always bro.

No, they look bad because they look bad. It makes a full-size car look like a Tonka toy.
Great Review, now thinking about going to buy this SEL model
Are there any other available engine choices? A little more HP would be nice. Great review. 👍
Unfortunately not.. I agree an upgraded engine option would do wonders for this r line. Appreciate the comment!
I'm waiting for the Tiguan R. If it doesn't come to North America, I'll choose the Sorento -- my second choice.
Hi I would like recoding cameras both front and rear
Why are there 2 types of wheels for the SEL ? The ones that are shown here are also on the SEL cross sport. What’s up?
Nope….no worries about exhaust tips, because most vehicles are doing the same🙃
I’ve never heard anyone say “but” more times in my entire life.
Lmao gotta work on that! Appreciate the comment
"But" isn't so bad, its "umm" that makes me cringe. The difference between the pros, the always write it down.
Great review!
Thank you!

The don't all have the same headlights. Those are the matrix LEDs.
@@krane15 I just bought a 22 SEL R-Line with the matrix IQ lights. There's no side to side movement at all. My 2018 definitely had it

@@MatthewFura I bought my 2022 SEL R Line last week (Nov) and it has the cornering IQ lights that come on.
@@greglind2391 Cornering lights are not AFS. Two different things.

Essentially they want people to go for the Q5 if they want more power.
Needs 100 more HP and TQ. This car is SLOW. At least give it the GTI engine/power. Better yet bring the R version from Europe
Totally agree the GTI PowerPoint should be available in the R-Line!
You are clearly missing what the targets are for this segment...
Weak engine, terrible mpg compared to others, I don't know if they fixed the pano roof leak problem and the rattle noise at the pillars
3rd gen EA888 is quite solid. Mine has been good.

Volkswagen don't get many good reviews for " reliability ".

I have a 2017 GLI, purchased it new, never have had an issue, very reliable.
They are just as reliable as other manufacturers with upkeep
Great review!!
