What did you guys think about this movie??? Ive heard mixed reviews!
I liked it quite a bit. It’s my least favorite, but still good
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It’s an amazing and interesting movie
It’s my second least favorite of the movies but in no way is it a bad movie to me
I f-cking love this movie. Out of all the post-apocalyptic futures, the ape post-apocalypse is objectively the coolest. I love when sci-fi dystopias get so dystopian, they start taking on the tropes of historical epics and fantasy stories.
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY! A new iconic line. Also, Raka is my spirit animal in this. A nice guy who roams around the wasteland and teaches strangers about history. I love it.
Am I weird for thinking that raka is related to maurice? Explains why he's an orangutan🤷🏽♂️
THIS
@@Ninja_RcKMarino-gh9ufevery bonobo in every planet of the apes movie is related to koba it explains why they are bonobos because they definitely are not a entire species.
Ah, thx brotha👍🏽
the way you expressed it made me think of "Book of Eli"
I do however think that it's not entirely accurate, he tells Noa that He's the only one left, that makes me think he's more of the last brother of a group of Monks, he might not have been wandering much before meeting Noa.
it's a great idea though, and I agree with you about that type of character. I love it too!
Just to let you know, the movie takes place 300 years after War For The Planet of the Apes, which means it’s year 2328. And during the 300 year timeline, the apes had fully evolved and they’re split up into clans.
The ALZ retrovirus was designed to cure Alzheimer’s disease by replacing damaged brain cells dna 🧬 with healthy human brain cells 🧬 the result was that they created a sort of hybrid apes that are smarter then the 2nd airborne delivery ALZ-2 which bypassed the human immune system proved lethal to most humans but the apes immune system was able to bypass the lethal effects because of its slight differences.
This is why the apes are changing so fast in just 3 centuries.
But the ALZ retrovirus keeps mutating it mutated to yet another strain that made most of what little remained of humanity primal so survivors went underground eventually as it always happens some turned out to be immune and were sent to try to get the hard drive to reach other bunkers and survivors. Tremain is a puzzle though the bunkers are far and wide apart so did he come from another bunker or a community of immune humans did he gave them up being the coward that he was? Guess we will never know
Wait so is 300 years into the future?
@@Alexis-d9iYeah, since Rise was set in year 2016, next with Dawn taking place in year 2026, followed by War taking place in year 2028, two years after Dawn.
@@williamhu6941 Noah following his 300x great grandfather’s legacy lol 🤣🤣🤣
7:59 Ok so I’m an animator but lighting is actually a whole other department for these sorts of things. Like you thought, some scenes have a artificial sun placed to simulate sunlight, but other shots, like when they’re inside or when there’s fire, they either make a light source or a spotlight to shine on to the character.
And keep in mind light simulation is like….shooting a bullion light beans across an entire scene. And they have to adjust a hundred different things to make the shot good, color, softness, contrast, all of that needs to be fine tuned and adjusted. Hope this helps!
New Ange Reaction? WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY
There may be a hint to Raka surviving after the credits. There’s orangutan sounds
Kingdom was conceived to be the start of a new trilogy, but no sequels have been greenlit
Don't forget Proximus
I did noticed that after sticking around till the end but besides us, primates of all kinds are incapable of swimming, especially orangutans. Pretty sure that was a Easter egg as a reminder like they did with Avengers Endgame when all we heard was a clang that come from Tony’s hammer when he was making his first suit in the first film of Iron Man.
@SorenAlba54 Not necessarily keep in mind that was the end of phase 3 and Tony Stark had made the ultimate sacrifice but this franchise 2nd trilogy is just beginning but at the same time people thought Koba had survived as grunts that sounded like him could be heard at the end of the credits too so it could it be either as we don't know which direction they will go other than both Noa and Mae were looking at the sky in the end and in a deleted scene Noa describe what they both saw as like the moon but not the moon and like the sun but not the sun as in either a huge space platform or spaceship in order to be described in that fashion so it's either the Icarus which instead of a exploratory vessel with a few astronauts it was a colony spaceship with God only knows how many people or a Space station where the elites went and bioengineering themselves becoming the mutants in this franchise.
@@RoyCyberPunk Hmm. Now that I’m thinking about it, in the first film, the Icarus team was declared lost in space after their launch and since then, those people must be the only ones who not only were completely unaware of the Ape’s revolt but the whole Simian Flu ordeal, as well. Ergo, they wouldn’t have the slightest idea that the world they left is forever gone and now, the Apes are the ones who inherit the Earth. Given the fact that it’s been 3 centuries since the time of Caesar, I’m not sure if they would anybody still out in space when humanity are lurking in the shadows.
@SorenAlba54
Yes but my point is that whatever they saw it's huge and not a tiny needle like capsule spaceship as it was in the original movie if it is the Icarus it's got hundreds if not thousands of people that left Earth to start a colony on Mars which comes as no surprise since around that time Elon Musk said that he wanted to make a permanent colony on Mars.
So director Wes Ball is a massive fan of the game Horizon: Zero Dawn and you can see that that was used for inspiration for the world. Taking modern day streets and buildings and making them into centuries old ruins that to the characters look almost alien but to us are all to familiar.
we had the same reaction when he said "for caesar" at the beginning. i was like "FOR WHOMST??? NOT MY CAESAR!!" turns out it was indeed for for him 😂
!!!!!
Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver - the writer-producer duo behind ‘Planet of the Apes,’ ‘Avatar’ and ‘Jurassic World’ - are telling THR that the ultimate plan is to make five more of these ‘Apes’ movies.
When Jaffa and Silver first came up with the idea, for the ‘Apes’ franchise, which started with 2011’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” they envisioned nine movies. This wildly ambitious idea has worked so far with already four movies released. Here’s Jaffa:
I saw nine. I don’t know if we’ll make it to nine. I would love it. We’ve spoken to not just Wes and Josh and [producer] Joe Hartwick Jr., but to Steve Asbell and Scott Aversano at 20th about what these next movies can be.
When you get to watch ‘Kingdom,’ you’ll realize where, story-wise, this franchise is intended to go as its themes continue to evolve on-screen. Is there room for two intelligent species on this planet? That’s the main question being asked in ‘Kingdom.’
For now, a fifth film hasn’t been greenlit. It’ll all depend on how well ‘Kingdom’ does with audiences, but early projections are looking good for the film, which is turning into one of the more profitable and well-realized franchises in Hollywood.
thats so cool !
say his words " apes together strong " what a wonderful day 😂, Proximus had me cracking up, he was basically preaching 👏
He was literally preaching. The writers were not subtle about the religious metaphors
Hahahha your defensiveness over Caesar was so relatable, they built such a perfect character that I genuinely was getting worked up over how they twisted his words in the theatre
And now you can watch the originals! Lots of references and callbacks were made in these new movies. And they may give you an idea of where the new ones could go
20:31 i love that Noa only learned about Caesar maybe a week ago but the moment he hears Proximus say that he's like "this some fuckin blasphemy😡"
You gotta watch the old ones now. The first one is an all timer, and all the sequels are insane.
Well personally, I think Escape From The Planet Of The Apes is the only sequel in the original saga that accomplishes the task of being the movie it wants to be. But I think seeing Ange reacting to all of them (even the last one) would be amusing.
@@guillaumelalonde They aren’t all good* but they are all insane
@@CorrectFossa Fair 😄
I'm so amazed they made this work,i never thought they could pull this off! I was very skeptical at the beginning when i heard they were going to countinue the story. I thought the trology was perfect. But this totally change my mind. This one is up there with the first 3.
A genius move to stay in the Caesar Universe yet a whole new chapter.
I think a lot of movie writers can learn a lot from this, how to Eee-vooo-lve a story
I cant wait for the sequel!
Btw.....What a wonderful day!😅
To light things in CG, what the team would often do is create an HDRI (High Dynamic Range Image). They essentially collect 360 degree images of the real environment and those images are used to calculate the real world lighting and generate those lighting condition in an environment map which can then be cast onto the CG objects in the scene. They can then adjust things manually by placing other lights and such to craft the shot to what they want. Now obviously most of the environments in the movie are CG environments of have CG objects added so they can also use the real world HDRIs to light those CG Environments or light the scenes manually and then create HDRIs from the CG scene which can then be used to light characters.
I was very angry at Mae at the end, both for nearly killing the Eagle Clan and for having a gun ready to kill our true hero Noa if he got violent.
The movies have made me love the apes more than any of the people, lol.
Me too. I don’t trust Mae she’s shady. I think she’s military trained. Take care 😘🏴
Well at least she accepted Noa's Ceasars penchant so she is willing to consider coexistence. But besides Noa and Raka all the apes surviving humans like her had encountered ended up with the humans being brutally murdered so if you were in their shoes you would be wary too. Besides there to few to pose a threat to Apekind I think the threat comes from whatever Noa and Mae found looking through that telescope 🔭 which is why both were looking at the sky in the end.
@@RoyCyberPunk Team Ape humans suck on screen and in real life
Obviously you're missing the point that no matter what species are on top there's gonna be baddies within the species as well as good ones. Did you completely miss the fact that the villain in this movie and in Dawn were apes. You guys lack using your brains.
The follow up of the original trilogy that we were waiting for.. and I LOVE IT.. great story, beautifully filmed... 9/10 .. just cause I love Raka and I was hoping he would come back ... alive ...
"Horse with stripes"
"No, ZEEbra"
Me, a Brit, "No, ZEBra" 😂
This boutta be a wonderful day
omggg she hearted mine 😧
It's actually a little ironic that there pet of choice was eagles given that some species of eagle hunt apes 😅
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAEYYYY
I saw this movie twice in theaters. The first time in IMAX and the second time just this past Tuesday to beat the heat wave my family was enduring and both times I enjoyed the film so much
I recommend the Corridor Crew channel if you are interested in "how they do it" for CGI stuff.
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!!!
The sattaelite thing was probably a connection to the onler movies. Some guy in a spaceship coming to save everyone.
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY! ange posted a new video
also for raka it was more of a spiritual pilgrimage (some religions do such pilgrimages go on quests or they receive such a message to go on a journey to a certain place) that he felt caesar put him on, than an experiment Angelina.
Director Wes Bell also made the Maze Runner trilogy. You should watch that. And Ball is also gonna direct The Legend of Zelda movie next.
The fact that the name *Caesar* in this movie is known as the name *Proximus Caesar,* played by *Kevin Durand.*
the main reason proximus caeser acts like that is because trevathan taught him about caeser, thinking he wanted to know about roman caeser.
*Most Apes:*
*Proximus Caesar:* "What a wonderful day!" 🐵✨️
Found it interesting that Raka was in all the marketing and stuff, and was only in less than 5 scenes. He's gotta return in the sequel. He'll be just like Gandalf.
Loved your reaction as always. You should check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing
I just watched this movie yesterday. I think out of the 4 modern planet of apes movies, this is my second favorite.
It was an amazing movie, and I can't wait for the sequel to this movie!
It's confirmed that it's 300 years later. 3:38
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!
PLEASE REACT TO "SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON"! It's a story about a strong, beautiful horse with a spirit that can never be broken.
I cry every time I watch it! It's a INCREDIBLE film, and the songs are so cool! But it's not a musical and the animals can't talk. 😭💔🔥
This October is Legend of Vox Machina season 3, can't wait for you to react to season 2 before it!
By no means an expert but i studied Visual Effects. Typically vfx nowadays uses these things called HDRIs, or High Dynamic Range Image. These images give the vfx software all the lighting and reflection information that it needs to emulate the real world lighting. Furthermore an artist would go in and place artificial lights or tweak the values to achieve the final looks. Hope this gives a bit of insight to the world of vfx 😅 7:54
I haven’t seen any of the other Planet of the Apes movies but this one was so good
i gotta watch the whole old movies now ! i heard there's alot of references in thereee
This Caesar's personality and speeches are very historically reminiscent of stuff that Idid Amin Dada used to say and do (before your time I know). The persona seems similar too. No doubt that was deliberate on the script writer's part.
If after many generations the facility still had electric power, then obviously there is either a geo thermal heat pump generator or a nuclear (or fusion) reactor inside. Nothing we have seen in this hints at volcanoes, so the second choice becomes most probable. Giving (or allowing) Caesar and his horde access to anything involving fission or fusion is probably a very bad idea.
That woman, Mae, is probably one of the most effective James Bond type agents I have seen in a long time. She had a mission. She was obviously briefed on the facility lay out and she had a plan. Nerves of steel. Everyone she met on the way was just a tool to be used to accomplish the mission. Whatever it takes to get the job done. Interesting that she takes enough pride in her work to do her own after action clean ups. If Noah had displayed any tendency to exploit the knowledge he acquired, she would have clipped that sprouting idea with one shot. She does have compassion though because she met with him instead of just sniping him from a distance or tossing a grenade. I believe if Mae had any inkling Noa would visit the telescope, she would have killed him before he could give her the necklace. If she learns he is trying to learn more she still may. The apes are right to fear humans.
They're making a new series as well with this one. Gonna be 3 movies total.
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Planet Of The Apes movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
Oda went out like a boss
The ape that hit the gong or whatever, Is sadly NOT Rocket, they just simply reused his design😔✊🏽
I didn't know that Proximus was played by Kevin Durand when I saw this in theaters. He's had a few nice-guy roles, but man, does he play a great villain.
I’m early for a video but my break is over soon 😭
Raka had tons of drip, "+1,000 aura point"
Im wondering if this sets up the original story of planet of the apes with the astronauts coming back to earth
Honestly you should watch all the originals especially the first one its very good and the ending is of that movie is just amazing
what's sad is raka didnt get to hear noah sing the bird song. 😢
BTW Ange I realized something that Trevathan is William H Macy is also Paul Kirby from Jurassic Park 3, I was going crazy HAHAA btw love your reactions 🤍

I went to the premier of this in the UK, May 8th, i remember because my dog aged 14 years died the day after 😢
Now the sequel of the kingdom of the planet of the apes is Fall of the Planet of the Apes in 2027!!!
The next POTA should be about the 3 astronauts who crash landed back to earth 300 years into the future
What a wonderful day for a new reaction to Kingdom of the planet of the apes. I love this movie just as much as Rise, Dawn and War. Kingdom is up there continuing the franchise and making it shine as bright as ever. I love Noa he reminds me of a young Caesar plus he has Caesars birthmark. Although i miss Caesar, Rocket, Maurice, Blue Eyes, Little Cornelius etc i do love the new apes in Kingdom. My faves are Noa, Anaya, Soona, Raka and Dar (Noa’s mother) though she didn’t play a huge role. Proximus was great but i felt Silva the big gorilla henchman was more intimidating. I don’t like Mae there is something shady about her that i don’t trust. The beginning of this movie made me cry in the cinema. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Kingdom is a slow burner but the score and scenery make up for it. The actors who play the apes credit Andy Serkis for starting ape school to train the actors how to act like an ape and aldo use motion capture. Owen Teague who plays Noa also went to an ape sanctuary and it was while working there observing the apes that he said he found his Noa. I’m looking forward to the rest of this trilogy hopefully we see Noa and the eagle clan again along with Raka i hope he didn’t drown. Take care and enjoy the movie. 😘🏴 #ApesTogetherStrong ❤️ #CaesarNeverForgotten ❤️ #TeamNoa ❤️ would have left a comment sooner but my internet went down so this is the first chance i’ve had to see your reaction Angelina.
She also killed a lot of innocent apes not part of noa's clan
I think the original films followed Cornelius (haven’t watched them myself but from what my mum told me Cornelius was kinda the main character and Caesar was their God) so I kinda get skipping hundreds of years into the future, although I would always love a remake following Cornelius after Caesar’s reign
Im going to miss caesar
I enjoyed this movie, but for me the ending was confusing. since all of this is based on an older movie from the 70's, we know where we are headed and how the world looks later, so seeing this movie pretty much end triumphantly for the humans gave me pause. my only reasoning is in the same line as you Angelina, they have to have more of these in the works.
It was amazing to see different clans of apes, and to see how their society and culture has "evolved" so to speak.
and the special effects! it's so good!
I was a bit skeptical about this movie, but I was surprised it was as good as the previous movies, if not better than some of them.
Did you know, when i was younger my parents always said that you have to pay for subs.. and i believed for so so long.. but not anymoRRRRR
You could get a giant deskpad/mouse pad it'll make the desk look good as new ish
Great reaction 😃👍I watched movie in cinema and it was Awesome, Caesar legacy lives on 🦍 Enjoy, And you are looking fabulous, Sending ❤️from Scotland 👍✌️
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY! A NEW PLANET OF THE APES REACTION!
Ever since ancient Rome 'Ceaser' is a title, not a name...
And they exploit it to the fullest...
Honestly, I absolutely loved this movie and to me, I enjoyed it more than Rise, even though I love Rise. Noa and Mae are such good characters and good foils for each other. I don't hate Mae for what she did, I completely understand why. I wish it didn't put Noa's clan at risk, but Proximus getting all those weapons would put humans and apes alike in danger. If Proximus had those weapons and a clan resists, he'd wipe them out. And he'd most definitely wipe out humans. I think they have the capability of bringing her and Noa back in any sequels and building their relationship to be the example of apes and humans coexisting and working together, being friends, making them another Caesar and Malcolm.
Proximus was right, even the director says that
Wes Ball(Director) said that if there are more movies following Kingdom Noa and Mae would be the main focal characters going forward.
I could understand her keeping the weapons out of Proximus hands, but the fact that her wish is for the apes to be caged animals(and was ready to kill Noa when she came to say goodbye)made me feel absolute disgust for her.
I favour the ape characters more than the humans in this.
It was huge hint to another one ❤❤❤. It was amazing ❤❤❤❤ tbh :)
Why didnt you continue youre reaction to the umbrella academy i really like youre reaction to it
Angelina Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
I really liked this movie the first time I saw it. Second time, I loved it!
Love this movie!

will you react to the LOTR? Yes I know you did that before, but you'll do it one more time, maybe? 😅
Still hoping for Star Trek reactions. 🖖🖖🏻🖖🏼🖖🏽🖖🏾🖖🏿
Angelina please do commentary/reaction for "Passengers" (2016) with Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt 😭🙏🙏🙏

What A Wonderful Day!!!!
Proximus humans can nvr be trusted... That sounds racism
Few minutes later Mae floods the entire kingdom.. Genocide😂
I wished they showed more Orangutans and Gorillas. Or perhaps thats intentional and those other species are slowly dying out.
great video. please watch trolls 2 and 3 that would be good fun videos :))
I love this movie ❤🎉
Yay❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
The villan was so mean to him
So it possible to have another war between human and apes ngl
Okay hear me out this is one of my favorite movies you can fight me if you want
React to ghostbusters trilogy
Can you react to "arlo the alligator boy"? I'm subscribed
Don’t know if you realized but noa favors ceaser in looks and proximus favors koba which makes sense why he wanted the guns
I'm shipping Noa and Nova. And human and ape romance would more interesting than another boring same species romance.
YOU SOULD DO BAND OF BROTHERS SERIES
Watch the bad guys
They’re talking about a different crezer sweetheart
Ima be honest I didn't like that mae and a bunch of humans were still able to talk fluently. And that they still knew how to do things and work technology. Personally I would've folded then proceeded to unalive Mae on the spot soon as I saw her at the end. Bc aint no way you almost unalive my entire clan, then when the point is brought up what about us apes (not generalizing bc apes good/bad as well as humans good/bad blah blah) like caesar said human not forgive so you'll just wipe us all out just so what yall can destroy eachother later and i'm just suppose to let it happen nah.
