- Lisa Caldwell's 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger launches with awesome wheelstands every single time and she has quite a few achievements at drag racing events.
Her husband Steve Caldwell is also a drag racer and helps Lisa to enhance the 1973 Dodge Dart 360 V8 motor so she can score better on the quarter mile.
Lisa and Steve met at the drag strip back in 1994, got married next year and haven't stop participating at drag racing events with the 1973 Dodge Dart and 1972 Pontiac Ventura ever since.

Had a '69 Dart I bought for $200 in NH and drove across the trans-Canada to WA State after replacing the rocker arm assembly from a junkyard. Two semis tried to kill me one snowy late night in British Columbia. Guess I was following one too close with my driving light. He called up a buddy on his radio, slowed down and blocked me while the other semi came up fast behind. They sandwiched me with a few feet to spare and both increased speed. Those semis out cornered me in the light snow drifting across the roadway but I could out accelerate them. A few times before that second semi came up to a few feet off my rear, the first semi stopped dead trying to get me to pass. No way. There was a solid cliff wall to the left and a 500 foot drop to the right. I knew he'd squash me into the wall if I tried to pass. There were no other cars on the road in the middle of the night. When the two of them got me up to 60 I was starting to lose it on turns but saw a scenic turnoff parallel to the road ahead. When we got to it I shot into it sideways and barely stopped sliding in the snow as the turnoff ran out. I sat for awhile after deciding not to go after them.

Great folks for sure. I only get to communicate with them while we were doing the story, but that was enough to see they are good people.

I remember racing Lisa in my 65 Mustang at the race of champions in Vegas years ago, she was the one I had feared the most, it was a great race👍🏻✌🏻️

Lisa, I visited your dad back in the day and we talked about building my 68 dart. I know he campaigned a bitchin 68. I worked on a lathe for Rich Borba as well building crank turners and special water pump inlets.

My 2nd car was a 72 Dart Swinger with a 225 slant 6 with posi. I blew the motor up and rebuilt it with a Clifford Research kit. It would eat v8's and had a weard sound and it was blue. Then bigots 63 Dart G/T in red with the 225. Then I got a 72 R/T Challenger with a 383 auto, it was an original 340 4 speed car. Fun times. My Challenger and my 4x4 Ramcharger would pull the front tires.

@@HotAmericanCars not really no, its not shes wheel standing a 7 second car. most people just like to keep their wheels on the ground. and its incredibly annoying when a woman does the same thing a lot of guys have done and all of a sudden she has way more balls than them and is better.
