Really makes you appreciate the editors for TV shows and movies more when they can take any dreck a director makes and turn it into an epic story. But the director still gets most of the credit.
That shot of the tiny coat and bag of Frankie’s doomed imaginary friend somehow made it far and away the most devastating. Ivo’s was my favorite, maybe because his was the only imaginary friend to make it out alive 😂

I think contestants have brought out more cheekiness out of him rather than impatience thankfully, his bordeom gets translates into annoying the contestants in fun weird ways
Ivo luring Alex in with the badly cooked egg, stealing his shoes and bolting to the ball, running back and drinking his milk and the "that was my milk :(" "it's my milk now" exchange was all so hilarious and charming I had to rewatch it twice. This task was perfectly designed for Ivo to fail upwards and it's a shame he didn't get the points for that performance.
For a moment I thought Mae had some freakish ability to tell raw from cooked eggs apart with their feet. Then I realised they were just trying to use anything but hands 😂
Between Ivo running back down the hill to drink Alex's milk and Frankie shoulder-checking Jenny off of the chair, we saw some savagery this episode. I like the bloodsport of it.
It's interesting how, when asked to create a poignant scene, most everyone immediately went to their friend getting horribly injured or killed. Then there's Ivo who went with his friend abandoning him
I had to rewatch the reading out of the first task because I thought I missed something. Turns out no, it's just that the first four contestants independently thought "poignant" should mean that their imaginary friend needs to die a horrible, gruesome death.
i do love the dramatic foreshadowing of frankie's skit. with kiell's, mae's, and jenny's there was the unfortunate accident but frankie's was truly a greek tragedy, the thing andy loved the most leading to his downfall
I'm very surprised that no one caught the fact that Frankie's "golden shoes" still broke the rules because of the black straps he used to attach them to his feet.

I might have missed something but I guess they only checked whether the contestants touched the real grass. I think they could‘ve just run to the bell to be fair because technically the bell was standing on a green carpet, not grass.

Greg is a gentler soul, fifteen series deep. I think an earlier version of him would have disqualified Frankie's yellow 'shoes' in an instant, and I for one would have loved to see a (record-breaking?) nine points from a single round.
Not a record-last episode’s final task was worth 10 points. It might be in second though? Edit: no, not second. Jo Brand got 13 in horse-laminator, and as pointed out below (though it was Katherine Ryan, not Jessica Knappett) got 15.
Guz Khan got 10 points for the balloon darts live task. Also Jess did in fact get a high score; in the ‘predict what a contestant will do’ task (the one which birthed her legendary air horn), she got 10 points for guessing correctly and being correctly guessed
Kiell is great, he usually doesn't do so well points-wise but he just has so much panache! Just look at him realise he lost the chair talk and just nonchalantly keep on walking!

I feel like after the mirror backfiring in episode 2, they resolved to stick with high-effort prize tasks from then on. (In reality idk which episodes were filmed together and they probably had the prize tasks all planned out at once, but I'll stick to my narrative.)

I like how Frankie, the guy who's been arguing over definitions *the entire series* to try and get other contestants disqualified, tried to claim that two pale yellow paddles strapped to his shoes were gold shoes
I think it's more that it was badly worded. Either that, or their brains were rattled by being in TM. Most of the contestants said something along the lines of "There's something about that room". It's a classic "Sitting in the hotseat" scenario where your mind isn't the same when under pressure.
They're trying to word things so that there's no obvious loopholes, while also not making the tasks into essay length. Sometimes that ends up meaning that the task reads like mysterious instructions for a forbidden ritual.

Once Alex said he had to count the pieces, I was really expecting AT LEAST one competitor to intentionally smash the shell into a thousand pieces (once they were out of the running from screwing it up anyway). Kinda disappointed that didn't happen.
I've loved the improv and how you could tell he really didn't want to hold the frozen Potpie for longer so alex got a quick answer that's the difference from the original to all of the spin-offs from different countries you just don't have that same collaboration as friends
The way to defeat the egg task without the hints is to wear gloves and then spin each one. The egg that doesn't spin isn't boiled. Tap the top with a pin, pour out the egg and done. One shell.
Nah, the way to defeat it is to realize you need the fewest eggless shell pieces. The fewest you can get is zero, which is when the entire egg is still in its shell. You beat it by not playing it
I know that you can spin an egg to see if it's hard boiled or not (raw will wobble all over, hard boiled will spin nicely). I also know about the trick of drilling or poking two holes in the egg and blowing out the yolk/whites. However, it took me until Kiells attempt to even realize there could have been a raw egg.
I love the “if everyone is disqualified, then Mae gets 9 points” that Alex throws into the discussion. The immediate side switch from everyone was so gd funny.

This is one of those moments where Alex incorrectly corrected Ivo to "Jenny and I' when the original statement "Me and Jenny over in thicko corner" is actually gramatically correct. If you remove the second person it would me "Me over in thicko corner" versus "I over in thicko corner". Perhaps "myself" would have been the most correct, but we've become so used to correcting people to "Jenny and I" when they were actually correct in the first place. (and yes I know this comment isn't perfect in regards to punctuation and grammer, but I'm ok with that)
Actually, Ivo never finished that statement, the obvious ending to that statement is with regards to figuring out why there were five eggs, so Alex was correct that it should have been "I" and not "Me". Since "Jenny & I ... figured out...", or "Jenny & I ... didn't figure out...", or even "Jenny & I ... couldn't figure out..." are correct, and "Me & Jenny..." is in this instance incorrect.
"Me and Jenny over in thicko corner" isn't a grammatically complete sentence, which is why both of your examples -- "I over in thicko corner" and "Me over in thicko corner" -- sound pretty much equally incorrect. If that were the end of the thought, it'd have to be something like "...are over in thicko corner," which would indeed require "Jenny and I" in order to be grammatically correct. Using your rule of thumb: "I am over in thicko corner." "Jenny and I are over in thicko corner." If the sentence continues, then the subject would be grammatically unrelated to the "over in thicko corner," as Daimenin is suggesting above. By strictly formal rules it'd have to be separated by commas, i.e. "Jenny and I, over in thicko corner, couldn't figure it out." Barring casual speech, "Me and Jenny" would only be correct when it's the object of the sentence. E.g. "Frankie joined me and Jenny over in thicko corner." The reality is that a sentence (or part of a sentence) like "Me and Jenny over in thicko corner" is never going to follow formal grammatical rules, but that's just part of the humor in Alex correcting him. It's a deliberately inane correction just designed to rile him up, of course a sentence with the word "thicko" in it is going to have a fairly casual/lax grasp on grammar.

I’ve so much enjoyed getting to know their personalities. Frankie surprised me the most having seen his comedy. Loved them all.

The way to defeat the egg task without the hints is to wear gloves and then spin each one. The egg that doesn't spin isn't boiled. Tap the top with a pin, pour out the egg and done. One shell.

Nah, the way to defeat it is to realize you need the fewest eggless shell pieces. The fewest you can get is zero, which is when the entire egg is still in its shell. You beat it by not playing it

I know that you can spin an egg to see if it's hard boiled or not (raw will wobble all over, hard boiled will spin nicely). I also know about the trick of drilling or poking two holes in the egg and blowing out the yolk/whites. However, it took me until Kiells attempt to even realize there could have been a raw egg.

This is one of those moments where Alex incorrectly corrected Ivo to "Jenny and I' when the original statement "Me and Jenny over in thicko corner" is actually gramatically correct. If you remove the second person it would me "Me over in thicko corner" versus "I over in thicko corner". Perhaps "myself" would have been the most correct, but we've become so used to correcting people to "Jenny and I" when they were actually correct in the first place.
(and yes I know this comment isn't perfect in regards to punctuation and grammer, but I'm ok with that)

Actually, Ivo never finished that statement, the obvious ending to that statement is with regards to figuring out why there were five eggs, so Alex was correct that it should have been "I" and not "Me". Since "Jenny & I ... figured out...", or "Jenny & I ... didn't figure out...", or even "Jenny & I ... couldn't figure out..." are correct, and "Me & Jenny..." is in this instance incorrect.
"Me and Jenny" is still incorrect... it would be "Jenny and me".
"Me and Jenny over in thicko corner" isn't a grammatically complete sentence, which is why both of your examples -- "I over in thicko corner" and "Me over in thicko corner" -- sound pretty much equally incorrect. If that were the end of the thought, it'd have to be something like "...are over in thicko corner," which would indeed require "Jenny and I" in order to be grammatically correct. Using your rule of thumb: "I am over in thicko corner." "Jenny and I are over in thicko corner." If the sentence continues, then the subject would be grammatically unrelated to the "over in thicko corner," as Daimenin is suggesting above. By strictly formal rules it'd have to be separated by commas, i.e. "Jenny and I, over in thicko corner, couldn't figure it out."
Barring casual speech, "Me and Jenny" would only be correct when it's the object of the sentence. E.g. "Frankie joined me and Jenny over in thicko corner."
The reality is that a sentence (or part of a sentence) like "Me and Jenny over in thicko corner" is never going to follow formal grammatical rules, but that's just part of the humor in Alex correcting him. It's a deliberately inane correction just designed to rile him up, of course a sentence with the word "thicko" in it is going to have a fairly casual/lax grasp on grammar.
