A re-issue of this video with improved stabilisation and some additional footage. Includes many views of Dartford Warblers in heathland on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset.
Cảm ơn bạn Mai, chúng khá khác thường và chỉ giới hạn ở một số nơi nhưng tôi thực sự muốn ghi lại bài hát của nó vì tôi đã cố gắng ghi lại từng con Chim Chích Anh. Hope you had a good day! 💖😊
A rarity in Norway. I haven't seen it yet. Hoping for the opportunity one day. Beautiful footage, John. Wish you a pleasant weekend. Kind regards, Knut.
Thank you Knut, these birds are abundant in Dorset and some other southern counties but rare elsewhere. There is a least one, possibly two, overwintering in Goldcliff but I’ve not been able to go there whilst recovering from my operation. I went for the first time today. My friend saw them before I arrived but I missed. Like you I live in hope! Best regards, John.
That’s brilliant Mick. I’ve heard there’s one there but unfortunately I haven’t been since October while I’m recovering from a foot operation. In normal circumstances I’d have been there and might have seen you.
@@micksheridan4462 cheers Mick! Shouldn’t be too long before I can manage at least half of the reserve. Getting round to the sea wall probably going to be a while.
We always look out for these when we visit Middlebere/Arne but are not often successful! You got some lovely footage and it was nice to hear the soundtrack too, so I shall recognise the song even before I might see one!
That’s great to know, with species like the Lesser Whitethroat once I was able to recognise the call I was able to locate them for the first time. I hope it’s the same for you with the Dartford.
A cool little warbler. Looks like it has lots of great hiding places in this habitat. Nice closeup views. I've actually never heard of this warbler before. I need to look up more information about their range. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thank you Thomas, they are very similar in appearance and habit to Mediterranean species like Marmora’s, Balearic, Moltoni’s and Subalpine Warblers. All have red eyes and a scratchy rambling song. It is surprising that they are resident in the U.K. as most insectivorous Warblers wisely head to Africa for the winter.
They are definitely spreading north but I don’t believe they’ve reached Scotland. Do you get Cetti’s Warblers up there yet? They’re another species that’s rapidly spreading since their arrival in 1971.
Thật thư giãn khi xem phong cảnh đẹp . 💖
Những hoa vàng nhỏ dễ thương và những con chim dễ thương !
Tiếng ríu rít mới đáng yêu làm sao !

What wonderful footage. It's a really scratchy sound. I can detect it really easily when nearby.
Thank you Shalom, it’s one of my favourite birds. I love walking in that heathland environment and recording their behaviour.
Great footage John. Was lucky enough to see my first one over at Dunwich Heath, Minsmere just before Christmas - got lucky with a bright windless day
Unbelievably I went to Goldcliff today and saw a female Dartford Warbler, couldn't believe it

All the best with your recovery John, hopefully it will still be there on your return. It looked very happy hanging around with a pair of stonechats

Really lovely and with excellent footages. A real treat. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much Patricia! I love my trips to Dorset, such a great county for bird watching.
Great video! Loved the format, with all the info. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your content.
Thank you Nicola you’re very kind and it is inspiring to know it was so well received. 😊

If you are near Poole come to Cliff Drive, around April you will see them here plus the view is breathtaking from this road.
@@marsha1963 Thank you for the tip, I've made a note of it to remind me nearer the time. Sounds great with the view to admire as well!
@@SkylarkFields you’re welcome. There are lots of benches along the cliff top ( in Cliff Drive) to sit and enjoy the stunning view!
@@marsha1963 That's great! Might have to bring a sandwich with us and sit for a bit!🙂

Never seen or heard one in Scotland, are they colonising maybe?
