This is why I'm proud to be part Hawaiian and a hula dancer because either way I'm connected to this lineage that has been passed down from generation to generation and I'm proud to be a part of that. And you need to have some pride in you to learn this song like I did with my halau :) I'm so happy to be a part of this ❤️❤️🤙🏼

I love to watch these dances, but somehow it doesn't feel complete to me without hearing the story behind the dance. I know they tell stories and the movements have meaning and I would love a short description of that. These guys are very very good though, and totally disciplined. Love it!

....Polynesian Ballet, really.... There is clearly a syntax to the dance, each movement appears to be too specific to be random. Is there a place where you can learn what the different gestures and movements mean?
