4:15 I like this part, putting iron chloride into the knife and then soaking the knife into the solution of water and baking soda. I guess that makes iron molecules bond into the knife's surface?
Maybe next time make sure your pin fits into the holes so you don't have glaring voids filled with epoxy. Oh, and maybe not call it a restoration when you destroy the handle of a knife and replace the original metal with a bit of wood. Also, learning how to sharpen by hand would significantly improve my opinion of your skill.
Thanks for your detailed opinion, I will take into account what you said and in the future I will like to improve and I will bring the video to a higher quality :) . thnaks man .
@@GarageRestoration Yeah, no problem. I apologize for being a bit 'rough' about my suggestions... But look at it from my perspective - you removed much of the original character of the item. It's like taking an antique glass/bronze diving bell and replacing the glass window with plastic. Sure, it might be a better implementation. It might last longer. It might look better. It just isn't a *restoration*. Thanks for taking my comment in the nicest way possible. ;) Finished product looks nice.
I can't believe you think someone will ever be concerned about your opinion, specially when your channel has no contents at all. The owner of this channel was incredibly polite with his response.
@@alejandrojorge5872 My points were valid. I agree that Garage Restoration was *very* polite. That's why I made note of that fact in my second comment. Thanks for stopping by.

I don't know exactly the chemical process, but I know it won't rust after that :)
Man just did some magic and it popped in the vice. 😎

That was brilliant 👍 love the handle. An amazing piece of work
Thanks bro :)
Awesome work! The handle is🔥
Thanks my brother 😇

Baking powder? Maybe is baking soda (NaHCO3)... Steel doesn't rise! 😁
It is even baking powder, stops the reaction of happy chloride .
You food chopping skills are not so bad. Was this knife intended for culinary in the first place?
I don't know exactly, people used knives for anything back then :)
Ótimo trabalho 👏🤝
Obrigada

Some things can't be restored 100%, basically, I don't even know exactly how it was done, it was customized :)
,.
Not restoration! ✂️😩
What ?
@@GarageRestoration you changed the handle, cutting off history to redesign it.
80 percent is like before, sometimes you can't keep it 100 percent :)
