It was amazing up until season 5. (But tbh, I feel as though it started going downhill after the first -A reveal.) Even Marlene stated that the show was supposed to end at the 5th season but the company wanted to keep it running until the 7th seasons. Blame marketing for the show's horrible and completely farfetched storyline after season 5.

Caleb and Hanna had many ups and downs. Hanna was also hit by a car. Spencer spent time in Radley because she thought Toby, who was on the A Team, was dead. She was dead from the inside because she was hurt badly twice in a row (seeing Toby in the black hoody, then seeing a dead body in the forest thinking it was him). Then he was in a car accident which also scared Spencer to death.. And Aria?! Where do I begin? All the Ezria drama! Finding out that Ezra used her just to write a book, he also gets shot, leaving her all broken up... All these girls had their fair share of heartbreaks...not just Emily
This scene is very symbolic because they use this same song in the pilot when Emily find out Ali is dead. And maya is the one who tells her! PLL is Genius! 💖
