White Sturgeon is a one of the largest known freshwater fish The length can be 10 times the height of the cute and naughty Masha. Masha actual size are 60 cm in height, but white Sturgeon 600 cm in length
Sturgeon are amazing critters! My dad used to fish them for sport, and I think he threw them back in because I don't recall him ever cleaning one. I recall a local news story years ago about a woman who lost her arm to a sturgeon.
They are amazing but I HIGHLY doubt one ever ripped a person's arm off or even attacked anyone. The only injuries I could find was from them leaping out of the water and accidentally landing on people.
Lake Trout, Tarpon (yes, they can live in Freshwater, welcome to Florida), Golden Mahseer, African lungfish, and a ridiculous amount of catfish are all good additions. Also, im a HUUUGE fish and fishing lover and im currently studying to become a marine biologist. Im focusing on sharks and invasive species (2 very similar topics, i know) and id love to help you out with videos! I have all kinds of ideas that i think youd enjoy!

Hey man, I just wanted to say thanks for your channel! Informative, entertaining, and well presented. You could make 2 hour videos and I would watch. I've been binging your vids, and just want to say one more time, thank you
What an awesome channel! I saw the first couple videos and they were great. And as a conservation biologist I appreciate you actually talking about the environmental issues these marvellous creatures have to deal with. A lot of videos like this end up being "WoAh BiG fIsH = BiG ScAry FiSh" and leave it at that.
Finally people are talking about the Murray Cod, they can be well over a meter in length, it theoretically can get to about 2 meters, in my state the biggest either come from lakes or the Goulburn river, one particular lake in Victoria ( lake Eildon ) is well known for its massive Murray Cod. Thanks mate for talking about this awsome fish, its a fish many Aussies spend their lives catching just for the chance to catch the meter long cod
In comparison it's kinda small, but the water godoo come from is alot smaller The king river is better for cod but yeah lake eildon has some stonker fish
when i was a kid living in Mildura, i saw a picture in the local paper of a man fitting his head inside the mouth of a giant murray cod. I refused to ever swim in the murray river again after that! lol
Sturgeon are crazy fish to hook into because when you're jigging off the bottom for walleye sometimes you hit a sturgeon. It almost always breaks the line and sometimes they jump out of the water then you can really see how massive the fish is. They're a pretty incredible living fossil. You must release them due to them being protected and you could get in trouble for just having them on the boat after you catch one.
Murray cod are extremely cool. Their body layout is very similar to North American black basses, South American peacock cichlids, or saltwater groupers and seabasses. Convergent evolution is so cool.
Hey! Ik i am late But i think i found the variety of ur albino dwarf snakehead I think it's called the channa punctata platinum I heard that u gave it away but i still wanted to inform u!
Your videos are always very informative. I think you have one fish that was left out. It’s Channa Marulius or Great snakehead. Although it’s not as chunky as Giant snakehead. It’s one of the longest in length.
....5 years ago a fishing buddy caught a sturgeon as long as their 15 foot canoe, in the tributary river of a large lake just West of Lake Nipigon, ON...
I was going to say the white sturgeon the largest one that was ever caught was over 23 ft you can look up the information at the Bonneville Dam Association they caught it using a tugboat
I’m from Australia and fish for the Murray cod for sport and you got those facts extremely accurate as a lot of people get native Australian animal facts wrong well done
The lake sturgeon is 100 percent fresh water. They never leave the great lakes at least that I know of. Definitely the ones in lake michigan and huron do.
I’ve got a pet Murray cod his about 87cm I have caught them up to 1.30cm they can eat fully grown ducks swans full grown snakes, lizards platypus dogs literally anything that it can fit in mouth it will eat and if can’t fit in it’s mouth it still will kill it out of aggression I’ve even caught our native golden perch on a duck lure
There are 3 species of tiger fish, the regular one with orange fins and they grow to max 11 or 12 it's, then you get Tanzanian tiger fish which have bluish grey fins then you get the goliath tiger fish which is like the regular one but much larger
Beluga’s size is one of these things you don’t think too much about, until you put it in perspective. Like, I knew that the largest caught was 7.2m, but only when you said it rivals Great White and Greenland shark i was like “wait a minute, f*ck…” Also i think they have been found engulfing kaspian seals, which is horrifying. That a Seal can be sucked into its mouth, whole💀
I still don’t know if I’d count the white sturgeon as freshwater just because it can live landlocked, as all the giants ever caught are the anadromous kind
I'm not sure how big they are on average, but I saw a green sturgeon jump out of the water maybe 300 yards away on my boat in the Columbian river (Oregon) in Astoria, easily 6 foot
Never got around to seeing it again or trying to catch it because I think they're critically endangered, and you need a to be a native to catch them from what I've heard
This channel is a worthy successor to the show River Monsters!!! Thank you for teaches us about all these awesome creatures 🤗
Thank you haha, I'll send a letter to Jeremy Wade
@@TsukiCove your seriously underrated hope you reach 100k soon
love river monsters
Big up wadey
Wouldnt dark waters be the successor to that show?

What about the bear
Already at 20k?! Congrats man been here since 8k i think and as always pet Arnie for me!
Thanks Colin, I know you've been around for a while :) I'll give him a hug now
Got to respect you for using both Metric & Imperial measurements.
Thank you
I saw a white sturgeon in the aquarium. it was cool.
I'd love to see you travel and make a show like river monsters, recording new footage of fish like these in the wild
I wish i could that's the dream
Congrats on 20k tsuki😁😁😁
Thanks Jeff i appreciate it :)

Where I live, a state record Blue Catfish was caught. It weighed about 127 pounds.
Oh man that sounds cool as heck, talk about a dream - being able to study and help conserve sharks and others fish species.
lake trout are good but htey can only get to be 40 pounds

You’re thinking of the Goliath tiger fish, the African tiger fish only reaches about 3ft, while the Goliath can grow up to 6ft
Thank you Professor!
i think he wrote down Goliath tiger fish in the video. he just says African tiger fish.
Nice video

Great video loved the other 2 hope you find more big boys to make more
Thanks for your explanation about the largest freshwater in the world I enjoy it. 👍👍👍
I caught a european Taimen last week. They are so rare, i only catch one every 5-10 years. Really cool fish.

Please do the extinct one because I wanna be a paleontologist when I grow older so knowing these huge extinct fish will help a lot
lovee it like alwayss😉
7:05 ..........now that is a large fish! Yes sir.......large!
Next suggestion. Goonch catfish
Myanmar giant catfish we called ငါးထွေ or ငါးရွေး over 7 feet long
we need more of that dog
Great lakes sturgen, bighead carp, blue catfish
make a largest cichlid video!!
Sturgeons are in a size class of their own
The bull shark! It can live in fresh water, including landlocked Lake Nicaragua.
You could do the muskellunge which can grow to around 6 feet.

Ayeee Columbia river getting some loveee. I live right on the Columbia
We need a part 4 bro. I'm sure there are many more larger fish out there

Ever heard of a muskellunge or musky? Very big fish.
Please aad humpback mahseer in part 4 😁👍
Murray Cod should be named fresh water Goliath grouper.
Make part 4!!!
Holy shit! I can’t believe there are so many big fish in the world!!!
Have you done the goonch catfish it gets around 13 feet
Hoping a video about invasive species.
Man you keep forgetting the Northern Pike and Muskellunge
i'll include it in the next one :)
I just love seeing animals that I will never be able to keep in my aquarium.
you should consider the helicopter catfish or the wallago attu/leeri catfish for next video
Many places in Canada u can catch white sturgeon
Since you mentioned the White and Beluga Sturgeon, it's only natural to include the Kaluga Sturgeon in a future video.
Could you do a spotlight on bichir species?
I was going to say the white sturgeon the largest one that was ever caught was over 23 ft you can look up the information at the Bonneville Dam Association they caught it using a tugboat
Can you make a video about paroon shark please 🥺

saw fish !
do you know what footage he used for the beluga sturgeon it was a tank filled with fish
If your doing fish that also reside in salt water at this point you might as well include the Bull Shark.
4:48 shows tiger fish with chunk out of it
I love the very American measurements
Why I shouldn't own Nile Perch as pet fish?
A. Because they are invasive
B. Other
2:45 Imagine measuring length NOT in Toyota Corollas
The lake sturgeon is 100 percent fresh water. They never leave the great lakes at least that I know of. Definitely the ones in lake michigan and huron do.
Lake sturgeon also live in the Saskatchewan River system including Lake Winnipeg and Lake Winnipegosis. The largest caught I believe was 260lbs.
Scoots? at 1:00 is that the name of the boney plates they have? Those things make it look so badass
Scute
The Mekong catfish is also very large.
he included that it the first vid
What is the max length and weight of Channa striata (common snakehead)❓

I'm confused, so is wild sturgeon caviar actually cheaper than farm raised sturgeon caviar?
Boney plates or scutes are also known and called osteoderms.
very true
is the African tiger fish related to the Pike fish?
How about a list of the smallest fish???

i agree it's a iffy one, that's why i didn't include it in the other ones
