    The older dog is clearly sick of their behavior. When the baby was on the floor, he stepped in to reprimand Red & protect the baby. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much room for all of that in such a tight space w/3 humans & 3 dogs. You can clearly see he’d had enough of the hyperactivity himself @ that point. Even on the walk he was the one who had his sh*t together. From what this episode shows us, he actually seems to be a good role model for the younger dogs. Hopefully the family will utilize the training & also become aware of the fact that they’ve got a good dog leader in the house who can help them gain control if they also encourage respect for him. It’s incredible how much another well behaved dog can be your ambassador, a teacher, someone in the family who can help you raise other dogs in the home. On another note, my border collie/lab mix LOVES to play bubbles! It’s such a fun game for her that also tires her. I use it as a chance to reinforce her training too.

    • @Czadzikable
      @Czadzikable 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      yeah, even though I see people acting that way all the time - both with their dogs and with their children! - I still find it mind boggling, as it's astonishing that other humans with same sized brains are so lacking in their capacity to *imagine* how others - including dogs and children - are perceiving things and what will they be feeling in a given situation - and therefore fail so spectacularly at communicating appropriately!
      It's as if they can't understand that they wouldn't be able to learn what things mean in a foreign language without some way to connect it to the meaning!
      If they could just imagine themselves being in a chaotic environment and having people twice their size shout stuff at them in a foreign language they don't know... It should be pretty obvious that you have to calmly guide the dog or child to understand what a certain communication signal means - and what is the expectation and consequence - by being consistent and aligning not just treats, but your body language and actions (e.g. walk the other way) with the voice commands.

      You can say stop with a loud voice dogs can get their attention to this voice it's the same if you say: Go. With the same voice it would also get You're dogs attention but they would not listen to the word. I like commands with hand signals cause they can see this. And yes if i do the stop signal i often say stop just because it's a reaction and it will mostly get their attention even more cause they can see the command and also hear something. Disclaimer: this is not a proven theory and it's all from my own experience and its works with my labrador

    • @areswalker5647
      @areswalker5647 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@betne5523 i also use hand signals while giving voice commands, it makes teaching the command simpler and quicker. your dogs will know to look at you when you're saying something to them and that helps to get their attention and concentration. It's also convenient to have them understand you if you can't talk at the moment (i.e. i'm on an important phone call and i have to tell my dogs to stop the mess they're doing and to sit and rest? I'll just give the hands commands so i will not have to interrupt the call and seem unprofessional).

    Victoria gave the husband a time out! 😄🥰 I was almost in tears watching the wife was walking the dogs with the stroller. So unfair on her their daughter and all three dogs for her to be expected to endure that all on her own every day. Plus the stress in the house.

    Ive been binge watching Victoria for like a week now and boy am I relieved I'm teaching my puppers from a young age how to behave on walks, focusing on their reactiveness towards people and other dogs. actually very proud of my 5 month pups, it is very easy to get their attention from other dogs or people (as long as the people dont run up to my dogs, which they do, I really hate it). I had a german shepard with dog aggression when i was a college student, and the unpleasant memories of our walks is why I am so determined to ensure my pups dont develop aggressive/reactive behaviours.

There are some of these episodes on this channel but I think there are like 60 episodes so lots to catch up on! Hope this helps! If you google the show name you can find out more like exactly how many episodes and seasons were made. 🙂🐶🐾🐕🇦🇺

    If not properly trained and worked Labradors can be a nightmare!...
    They are a working breed and, guess, what, they NEED to work!...
    They make great family dogs as long as they are in the right hands which these two are not!...
    Rehome these dogs with a person or a family that has experience and will treat them properly ie put them into work!...

    • @Galemor1
      @Galemor1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      All they need, is to put down some groundrules for the dogs. See how happy and relaxed Red was when he knew what they wanted..
      He was like sure, I will stay over here and went straight to sleep..
      (he was probably tired from all the new things he had learned that day too, but still)
      It's all about giving a dog a job, even if it is just laying still while stuff is going on.
      They want to know what's expected from them..

    • @no_peace
      @no_peace 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ground rules don't mean anything if they can't GO OUTSIDE AND EXERCISE. the dogs are happy in large part because they finally get to go outside ffs. That's the main message of the entire show
