Hey everyone! I know back to school season is right around the corner so I wanted to break down the differences and features of each backpack at lululemon and what I suggest is the best use for each backpack as a lululemon educator. I totally agree with you regarding the City Adventure backpack on the water bottle feature. I like having it on the outside for easy access and it should be outside to avoid spillage accidents or water bottle sweat issues. Hope they go back and redesign this one.
Yes I would love for them to redesign this one. There is other options with water bottle pockets on the outside at least for the meantime.

Thank you for the informative guide of LL backpacks, it’s hard to decided on one when there are very few images of the items in the website, also all the models are quite tall and it’s hard to tell how big Would look on a smaller person ahahahah (5.1) I found a second hand city adventurer with a laptop compartment and a water bottle sleeve in the inside , mine also has a small side pocket at the back for keys or a small wallet. (Have they removed it from the newer version?) my favourite feature of the bag is that the straps don’t have extra fabric dangling around on the sides but you can only adjust them so much so I guess that could be a big NO for many people. Mine doesn’t have the trolley/suitcase strap.
I use it for the gym and everyday usage mostly but I have managed to travel few times for a week with only this rucksack and the everywhere belt bag. I’m not a student anymore, but I teach Spanish for adults as a second language and the city adventurer holds everything I need, I use the bottom part for my bento box. Now a days most language teachers have ebooks and digital resources, (we email worksheets, and reading material too) before COVID I used to bring games to the classroom now we can’t because of social distancing and hygiene. Hopefully one day we will go back to the interactive activities then I might get a tote.

Thank you for your detailed review and experience with the older version of the city adventurer backpack. I think the original version of the bag was the best iteration! Sadly the newest edition of this bag is missing some key components like a water bottle holder and that mini side pouch you mentioned! that's my favourite feature of the mini one I have in this video.
I got the larger city adventurer bag and i regret buying it. The lululemon sales assistant claimed it would fit all my work and gym stuff...and it doesnt work as a gym bag. Like who puts a waterbottle inside a bag?? 1st it can leak, 2nd you have to open the bag everytime you need a drink, 3rd a water bottle takes up too much room which you need for your gym gear. Sure my laptop fits into it....but i couldnt fit my shower shampoo/shower gel; runners; towel; gym top and leggings; hairbrush. Plus there could have been more pouches inside. Like who at lululemon designs these bags??? I live in ireland and like what i take to work and gym is the same as every woman in the world!!! the new version doesn't even have the water bottle pouch at all. But yes the city adventurer is not the best back pack. It is good for only a very specific purpose. Like a very small gym bag where you don't need a lot of essential. I would almost say just for like work out classes where you're not toting around a lot. But they do have some great back packs! I love the everyday backpack as something more versatile that can take you to work and the gym.
You complain too much for all those things you carry you need a suitcase. You need to do your own test and not take a persons word for it. Different folks different strokes for the city adventurer.

I have it in black it’s so spacious for me it’s really comfortable to carry around on your shoulders and has two separate compartments It also has a water-repellent fabric. This means that if you spill something onto the nylon fabric it will bead up and roll off so I think it’s really worth it
I have the silver one and it’s big and spacious also it’s great for school

Sure thanks of the idea! It usually varies depending on where I'm going (the gym, to work, errands etc) but I can maybe show what I take to each thing.
The City Adventurer does have an exterior zipper that opens up where you can put your water bottle but it does take up space on the inside. Not convenient, but it's there. Take a look at your video @8:21 timestamp
Not anymore. The made a new version of the backpack and it does not contain a water bottle holder anymore. The small one (11L) still has this feature but the larger 22L version does not
