As a fellow F33 owner, really appreciate your channel. You’re killing it and definitely deserve more views and subs! We’re kind of a niche community. This mod looks great but had a quick question. Do you have pics or videos of how this looks during daylight? Trying to gauge how much the plastic pieces standout and whether they’d pass as OEM to the unassuming eye during the day
Thanks Ishmail! 🙏You're totally right, I wish i would have shown this in the daylight as well. you can see a small strip of white under the trim but no one notices it unless they're looking for it. honestly, I forget that they're there until it gets dark and they light up. Everyone that rides in the car at night compliments how awesome the lights look.

I don’t get why you didn’t use half the the strip to cover the whole silver plastic on the door ????does it not fit towards the ending curve
Great question! It doesn't fit the whole length of the silver trim. The led also does not go the whole length either. So really it doesn't matter. 👍
How does the rubber look during the day ? Any idea how it will look with red trim. My Bmw have got red trims on doors
You can't even tell that it's there which is the best part 👍

I just buy for my f32 and i tried to fit in but it wont go in there is no enough place to fit it or the stripe is to thick do you any tips or tools how to get in

The strip should fit without any force, you just have to make sure you have it facing the right way. Are you having issues with the front doors or back seat ambient lighting?

NEW BMW Owner.. 2016 F33 M428i; Newbie question so if you have already answered, my apologies.. I have never seen any lighing on my door panel or rear seat area. I did read below you mentioned "check the lighting dial next to your headlight switch and make sure the thumb wheel is all the way up" I'll do that when I get home.. But do ALL F33's have this lighting source?
As far as I know all F series have ambient lighting. Mine weren't on at first either until I turned that dial. You should also be able to see it in your idrive. It's there that you can change it from sport (white) to original (red/orange)
@@fthirty3 Thanks.. I should be getting my F33 from the paint shop this afternoon (minor accent painting trims). I am so going to adjust the ambient lighting. If I'm not happy, then I'll look into those tubes. I've been watching some of your videos for additional upgrades, so please forgive me if I'm being a pain with questions. I've install the 'BMW' door logo light. 2 easy. (less than $12) and then considering the dull OEM matt black trims interior items with gloss black/carbon fiber wraps. But don't want to over do it.
Congrats on the F33! I hear ya on not wanting to over do it. If you're going to wrap the trim, I'd go with matte carbon. The glossy can sometimes be too reflective. BMW has a set I want, but its expensive...which is why I don't have it. Lol it's carbon and Alcantara and says mperformance on it. Looks slick but it's expensive. I'd say start small and just do the normal trim pieces. Don't try to wrap everything in the interior :) good luck, would love to see some pics when you get it finished 🔥🔥🔥
@@fthirty3 Alright Steve.. Got my F33 back from the paint shop and they did an amazing job on the exterior trim. Gloss black along the bottom front spoiler, M-series sideskirt. Not sure how to add pics here..
Smoked-out those reflectors (Side and Back) - I noticed you didn't smoke your rear ones.
For the interior, carbon trim for the gear and vent areas. Didn't want to over do it and change the 'wood grain' look...
Found the ambient lights. yeah.. had to wait for evening time to see them.. Since we changed our clocks.. that's pretty early now. :) lol
I bought these for my f36.. the plastic is too flimsy to fit correctly .
The trim is too tight to fit it in and trust me I've really tried.
Basically it's like trying to ride the missus with a floppy .. that probably explains it better .

Hey, great video and thank you. I’ve recently bought a UK 2014 F32. I can’t actually see any ambient lightning although there is an option between “classic” and “sport” ambient options but again still can’t see anything. Can you tell me if Bmw brought all the f3s out with ambient lighting or is it an added extra or whatever? Thanks in advance.
I believe they all have it. If all the lights are out, check the lighting dial next to your headlight switch and make sure the thumb wheel is all the way up.
@@fthirty3 I noticed last night there was ambient glow at the control wheel but thats literally it!
Literally just got the same car and year my does come with the m package but can’t see any ambient lighting either 😢
@@amaz-_-ingamazing802 I too just bought an MSport UK spec ‘14 F32. So in the UK specs for some reason BMW turned the lighting down wayyyy too low from the factory. I’m from the US and just moved to the UK a few years ago. My ‘17 F30 in the US has obviously the same ambient lighting BUT the brightness is turned up 10x from factory. Clearly visible at night. In the UK models you have to take it to someone who codes BMWs and for £20-£30 they’ll code the ambient lighting brightness to 100% brightness from the LEDs.

Hi are all f series ambient lights made the same? I ordered this light for my f83 m4 and apparently my ambient lighting has some type of plastic edge in front of it that does not let me install these. Anyone have any experience with this?

I have just taken delivery of some of the flexible tubing for my F 10 five series.My first attempt to fit this has failed.The recess where the lights sit, tightens towards the middle of the door card and I have not been able to get the plastic in.
I do not know whether it pushes deep into the recess or stands proud. Either way, it does reduce slightly the amber wash over the door card, which I am reluctant to lose. I might be returning these. Has anyone returned theirs and was it ok getting a refund from AmbientModz?

Great question, you can change the color between white and orange/red. These basically magnify the oem lighting you already have. They don't add additional functionality, just brightness.

Looks nice at night but awful in daylight 😢 I had them for about 2 days and then i just put them straight in the bin lol
Sorry to hear that. I don't notice them in the daytime as their tucked up almost flush with the trim

No, they only amplify the oem colors red/white

They're actually clear. The lights in the 4 series can be changed to either red or white via the idrive. BMW's choice of red does look very orange I agree lol

Not sure I understand your question. These light diffusers are clear and only magnify the light from your OEM light strips. There's two lighting colors, Sport (white) and Original (Orange/Red).

Nice try but that still looks awful. BMW should be ashamed. I have a 2019 M4, and the lighting can change from white to orange, but honestly, it's not even noticeable. I will be changing it completely. You're wasting your time with this trim. Thanks for trying to help though
Barely made a difference to me. Not enough to spend that $.
For $50 I got replacement lights instead which are way more brighter than this nonsense from ambient mods. Utterly ludicrous paying that much money for strips of plastic or rubber.
Curious to see how those replacement lights look, last over time and integrate into the factory door cards. In the end this is a fully reversible mod which one thing I really like. Not looking to put any Chinese made cheap leds in my German sports car 😀

I’ve just tried fitting these to my f32 and it was a struggle to get them in properly. Part of it slid in no problem but further along the door, other parts won’t go in at all and hang out.
Bit disappointing considering the price but I guess they don’t fit ‘all’ f-series?! 🤦🏼♂️
They should fit, are you having an issue with the front or back? The backs are trickier to get them to seat correctly.
@@fthirty3 The front - not tried doing the back as I want to sort the front out first. It’s partly tucked in and partly tucked out?! Even tried using a credit card to “aid” in tucking it in but no luck?! 😓
