I shall explain this a little more thoroughly since I understand mandarin.
What the coach is saying is:
Despite being based on the same technique (backhand), the backhand drive (抽, chou) and backhand loop (拧, ning) are executed very differently:
    1. Backhand drive focuses on your core muscles. The elbow is placed low and you use your abdominal muscles to send the ball out (return topspin ball). Additionally, the bat strikes and contacts the upper part of the ball.
    2. Backhand loop focuses on the elbow. By placing the elbow high, the elbow is used as a pivot to allow the arm to swing and hit the ball (return underspin ball). Additionally, the bat strikes and contacts the lower part of the ball.
The kid's problem is that he doesn't differentiate between the 2 strokes; he uses his arm for both underspin and topspin balls. This resulted in an unstable return of the ball for both strokes. So what he needed to do is differentiate both strokes clearly and not confuse both strokes into one.

Hi, thanks for the great videos!
By any chances, could we have a training plan that includes all the fundamentals exercises we should do to improve our foundations? I watched the 10 beginners videos but don’t know how to efficiently train with it (for how long should I do an exercice, should I combine different exercices in one session or keep training the same thing for weeks..). I don’t have a coach and developed bad habits but I’ll train hard. Thx

Incorrect footwork/bad stance leads to weird bending to reach the ball and puts strain on the knees. Try taking a wider stance and predict the ball better to move. Since they are older they aren’t as fast and need to prepare for the next ball earlier

I had pain in my left knee after and during playing tabletennis after long research and an mri scan, the solution was very simple. Just made my leg muscles stronger with workout at the gym ☺️

Hello Coach. I hope you are fine
I have a stiga clipper with a DHS 3 neo 2.2 mm 41 degree DHS scale on the forhand and a DHS Goldarc 8 2.0mm 50 degree ESN scale on the backhand. What do you thin about it?

If you look at the way he moves his core following the instruction, he tenses up a little bit more, and is able to incorporate his body into the movement a little more. Before given instruction his arm was basically doing 100% of the work, now its a little more like idk 60%.

Очень профессиональный и грамотный тренер,решающий проблему с локтем ученика. Я посоветовал бы не поднимать локтя ученику и при игре со стола, а не только с дальней дистанции.

I believe he must continue to follow the counsels from his coach and not from a stranger. He's using the most modern techniques.

To me it didnt look like an elbow problem. He was flicking both the short and the long ball. Looked more like a shoulder and core thing. I dont know about children as young as this but it takes a long time to develop that strength and the coordination to transfer the power from core to the shoulder to arm. In multiballs even more so... Most do not know how hard it is to keep doing that motion over and over. You may start with the right motion and by the 30th ball fatigue on other parts of the body take over and youre now only moving the forearm instead of the whole body. Give the boy some credit. Before this video started he may have already done an entire basket
